VICTORIAN RETREAT CLOSE TO HISTORIC BALLARD

Seattle Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1bedroom, 1 bathroom, comfortably sleeps 4

This delightful retreat is located on the main floor of a turn-of-the-century house in historic old Ballard. Ballard has everything you could want, and living in this home it's all at your doorstep. Within 1 block you can enjoy espresso and some of the best bread and French pastries in Seattle. Within a 6 block radius you can enjoy an upscale movie house, a diverse array of restaurants, shops and the fabulous year-round Sunday Farmer’s Market offering fresh locally grown produce and products. If your visit is job-related, you will also have access to a post office, FedEx, Kinko’s and newly built-green public library. A personal fax machine is available upon request. Floor plans and more info at www.BallardVictorian.com.

A detailed renovation was just completed in 2008, in keeping with the home's original character. Wide plank oak floors extend throughout, including the new kitchen. The kitchen is cook-friendly and there is an herb garden for your enjoyment. Guests can chat with the chef while sitting at the breakfast table. The main dining room can seat six and there is still room for a sofa and TV. Barn doors separate the dining room from the very spacious living room. It can be closed off for privacy and has two queen sized high end, no-bar hide-a-beds and a 26 inch LCD TV. There is another queen sized sleigh bed in the private bedroom, with lots of drawer space and ample storage.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

  • 5 of 5
This was the second year we stayed at this lovely Ballard Victorian. We have chosen the month of April each year to visit. I loved it even more the second time. The house is very clean and well appointed. The location is fabulous. My husband biked every day and I got a month membership at the Olympic athletic club so I could swim each day. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The farmers market on Sunday is chock full of good stuff. The park at the end of the point is a wonderful, place to relax by the water and enjoy the sight of beautiful sailboats on the horizon. Then of course there are a myriad of other things to do in and around Seattle. You can't go wrong staying here.

WONDERFUL

  • 5 of 5
Ballard Victorian was a wonderful place to stay. I was there for the whole month of September and had a very enjoyable time. It was close enough to my daughter and family and although I have done this for many years - usually in August - this has been the best place yet. The listing description was accurate, photos described it perfectly and it was clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property to others. A very nice QFC supermarket was within walking distance. The parking was sometimes a problem but that's a problem all over Seattle and you just have to live with it.

BALLARD VICTORIAN

We stayed at this lovely home in Ballard for the month of April and couldn't have been happier. The accommodations were perfect for my husband and me but it can accommodate more, as well. Ballard is a lively community with many great restaurants, unique shops, a health club and much more. It is convenient to the Burke-Gilman trail, the Golden Gardens park, the Ballard locks to name a few. The owners are available to meet your needs if a question should arise. I hope we will be able to return in the future.

VISITING GRANDPARENTS

What a perfect place to stay during our extended visit to Seattle! Mary and Bob have thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable. Also, it's a great location in relation to shops, restaurants, movie, library, parks, and public bus transportation. We hope to be able to come back some day.

July, 2011

This is our 3rd stay at Bob and Mary's "Ballard Victorian". We come
to Seattle to visit our daughter who has made her home here in
Ballard. We love staying here to be near our daughter and within
walking distance to the restaurants and shops as well as the many
things Seattle has to offer such as scenery, food, golf, ferries,
museums. Whatever the weather, there is always something to do.
Thanks so much again Bob and Mary for your warm hospitality and for a
wonderful summer.
