GREAT LOCATION, AWESOME LOFT-STYLE APARTMENT

  • 5 of 5
My husband & I spent a week here and loved it! The apartment was very modern, clean, and had all the conveniences you could ask for: Shampoo, hairdryer, laundry detergent, coffee maker, kitchenware, etc. At one point we had an issue with the knob on the dryer and the owner came out that morning and replaced it immediately & even hooked up the window unit A/C for us (which you really didn't need, the weather is wonderful!). There is also a parking spot provided in a garage, which was great when we rented our car.
The location was awesome! My husband & I are avid runners and we could run all along False Creek, to the Seawall, and around Stanley Park. We made full use of Vancouver's mass transit system and the apartment was just a block away from the tram and bus stops. Olympic Village was just down the street where you could find a great brewery, bakery, etc. with several grocery stores just an easy walk down the opposite way.
The area itself was also very safe & well maintained (as is most of Vancouver).
The apartment was a great couples getaway. As there was no closed off bedroom, it might be awkward if you had to share the space so we would recommend this to couples or a small family.
The only downside to this apartment was the view. The apartment is on the first floor and looks out across the street to a police parking lot. But really, as we were gone all day, that part didn't bother us. Plus, you have access to the rooftop terrace, which has a view of the Vancouver skyline.
Vancouver is a spectacular city with so much to see and do. This apartment was perfect for our week long vacation!

we stayed in this unit for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay. the location is excellent -- really accessible to downtown vancouver and there are also grocery stores, restaurants located closeby. the neighbourhood is very quiet and we did not hear any noise from the neighbours.

yuki was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. we highly recommend staying here!

CLEAN AND MODERN, VERY GOOD LOCATION - 5 STARS!

  • 5 of 5
We ( 2 teenager girls an I ) had 5 nights in this nice condo. It is very clean and modern and well equipped. (My daughters preferred the computer and the availibility of internet , I liked the washer / dryer since we came from a 4 weeks trip in Hawaii and it was comfortable to wash some of the clothes before returning home to Austria...) . The location is a very good one, near to a skytrain station and also near to a supermarket (safe on foods) which made it easy for us to buy necessary things to prepare breakfast / dinner- even without car! The neighbourhood is very quiet and save. The communication with the owner was excellent!
Vancouver is an awesome city - beaches, mountains, skyscrapers...we also visited capilano suspension bridge, china town, granville island....
I often walked along the nearby seawalk to granville island...and enjoyed the beautiful view.
I would recommend this condo to our friends and relatives and I hope to return some day!

GREAT FOR FAMILIES TOO!

  • 4 of 5
This condo was pretty much as pictured and described. We are a family of 5 and had enough room - certainly way more with more conveniences had we stayed at a hotel for the same price. My two girls slept on the pull-out couch and my son slept on the fold out chair. It worked for us, but I wouldn't put an adult or teen on the fold out chair. We made good use of the washer dryer and kitchen. The condo had everything you could think of - umbrellas, extra linens, ironing board and iron, shampoo and conditioner was supplied, all the kitchen utensils one would need, etc. The kids did go to the roof to play in the sandbox and made a friend with a little girl in the apartment block next door where we were invited to come play on their play structure. We were two blocks from the Vancouver Police station, so it felt very safe. We were about six blocks from Whole Foods and Save On Foods. We could walk to get groceries every couple of days. We were within walking distance of the Aquabus so we could tour around. The location was central so it seemed easy to get to the attractions that were further away. We would highly recommend this place to another family of 5 or less or to a couple on their own.

FANTASTIC HOME AWAY FROM HOME

  • 5 of 5
My partner Gary and I spent a week in Vancouver around Christmas time after a conference that I had in Whistler. The hostess Yuki and her entire family were extremely helpful in getting us adjusted (as we are from Australia) and the apartment was just superb. It was modern, funky with all the mod-cons that you would expect, plus it was geothermally heated so that it was never cold despite the Winter!

The king bed was huge and was the most comfortable bed that my partner and I slept in for the whole trip to Canada (including hotels). The bathroom was wonderfully spacious, the wardrobe space ample, the kitchen is great for all of our needs and the pay tv(with recording capabilities) was perfect for rainy winter days. Plus the computer with internet access is a bit of a lifesaver for a traveller.

The place is just the thing if you're looking for a temporary place to call home while travelling in a foreign country. And it was equipped with just about everything you could need or want for your stay, such as towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, an equipped kitchen and washing power for the washing machine.

And the location was unbelievable, had great views, was in a great block of environmentally friendly modern apartments and just a few minutes walk to the train station. A few more minutes from the train station and you're close to a few supermarkets. Not to mention restaurants galore just a hop and a skip away (very handy).

Yuki and her family were so accommodating that they even helped us get tickets to a Vancouver Canucks ice hockey game on boxing day! We adored the place, our hosts and all the trouble they went to to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. We had a beautiful stay in this quiet neighbourhood and sincerely thank our hosts for the experience.

LOVED IT!

  • 5 of 5
From our initial contact with the owner to the day we departed we had an excellent experience. My husband and I spent seven weeks here in Fall 2010.
This suite is about 200 sq ft larger than most comparably priced properties, giving you a bigger living room and way bigger bathroom. We found the suite, the kitchen appliances, storage, and the bathroom all to be modern, well designed and in good shape. The TV, DVD, PVR was a definite plus on a rainy day. The suite has clearly been outfitted with everything you need for the kind of time we spent here. Nearby surface parking worked well for us. The location made it easy to make daily trips to Whole Foods, Save-On, London Drugs, restaurants, etc. We walked in nearby parks, along False Creek, to Granville Island, and over to Yaletown frequently. The Canada Line transit station is also about a block away, connecting you to downtown or the airport. We definitely recommend this property for a couple for a weekend or a longer stay.
