About the suite:
Originally built in 1913 to be the telephone exchange for Vancouver, the Exchange has been completely renovated into a green and ultra modern block of loft style apartments. The original post, beam and brick construction has been incorporated into the modern dwelling.
This cozy ground floor suite boasts a spa like bathroom, in suite laundry, a full, modern kitchen, an inviting king size bed and a tastefully decorated living space. The suite has a deck which has its own private entrance from the street.
Sleeping arrangements at the Exchange include:
- A king size bed in the sleeping space
- A double size pull out couch in the living space and
- Two fold out seats also in the living space that pull out at a length of approx. 6 feet (ideal for children)
Staying at this suite, you will find yourself centrally located to all the action downtown but just far enough away to get some peaceful rest. We look forward to making your stay in Vancouver a comfortable one!
Take advantage of the patio which has city and mountain views. The patio, which faces north, is the private entrance to the suite. The building also boasts a rooftop patio with a community garden, sandboxes for children and an even more spectacular view of the city and mountains.
Ski in Whistler, stay in Vancouver, even without a car!
Book a return seat on the Pacific Coach Bus to Whistler. Walk 1 ½ blocks to Canada Line Olympic Village station. Catch the train going to Waterfont station. Get out at the Vancouver City Centre stop. Walk 2 blocks to the Burrard Street Sky Train station. Catch the Pacific Coach Bus to Whistler. Enjoy the ride. Ski all day. Return to Vancouver.
Skiing is also available within Greater Vancouver city limits on Cypress, Grouse and Seymour mountains. Each mountain has a shuttle bus or a public transit bus that will take you there for a day of skiing with Vancouver as the backdrop. Missed the day of skiing? No problem, Ski until 10pm everyday.
Once you have had your fill of skiing then you can enjoy all of the fabulous restaurants and night life that Vancouver has to offer; just one or two stops away on the Canada Line from the well situated suite 112. Or relax, soak in the tub and rest for the next day. The choice is yours!
This central location is one and a half blocks from the Olympic Village station on the Canada Line train with a 15 minute trip to the Vancouver International Airport or a 2-5 minute trip to destinations downtown.
Close by is Cambie Village with shopping and dining, Granville Island, the Telus World of Science, Chinatown, water taxis to take you to the action downtown, dog parks and the Vancouver seawall pathway which, meanders from Kitsilano Beach passed the suite and around downtown to Stanley Park.
Yaletown has an exciting night life featuring elegant restaurants and nightclubs that are just one stop away on the Canada Line or an eye-pleasing walk across the Cambie Street Bridge.
