Perfect for family reunions, gathering of friends, Business or Church Retreat, The Mansion is over 6000 square feet, 3 stories with 7 Bedrooms - sleeps 22. Beautiful Dining Room and Living Room with open concept has a beautiful fieldstone fireplace for gathering. 4 whirlpool/fireplace suites and 3 guestrooms with private bath with shower, this home offers the elegance of the era with the comforts of home. 2 balconies, large living/dining area for gathering, 1/2 bath in common room area, Cable, Full Kitchen, all bedding included, 2 washers and 2 dryers, a/c, parking, TV/VCR or DVD and phone in all bedrooms. The Guest House is also available with 5 more whirlpool/fireplace suites to accommodate an additional 10 people. Please ask for rates to accommodate additional guests. The home can be rented with housekeeping staff and food service or as a vacation home. Pricing is based upon rental as a vacation home, no staffing. Located in LaPorte, just 10 minutes from Michigan City and New Buffalo, 1 1/4 hours from Chicago, 35 minutes from Notre Dame and 10 minutes to the Dunes and Lake Michigan.

Decorated by Mexican President Comacho for his efforts in getting the railway built between Mexico and the US, WA also traveled around the world 5 times and amassed a weapons collection which is the 2nd largest in the world and the most valuable collection now housed in the LaPorte County Historical Museum. A 'must see' when visiting!

Born and raised in LaPorte, we felt a strong desire to 'share' all the beauty and natural amenities that LaPorte county has to offer. Having traveled abroad and experienced so many different types of communities, it is true that 'There's No Place Like Home'. We want everyone to experience the joy and beauty that LaPorte County has to offer

Why Kris & Laura chose La Porte

The property is owned by 3 couples and is operated as a bed and breakfast/vacation home. Purchased in 1995, we lovingly renovated the home to restore it to its' original grandeur. Having a love of renovating and decorating, the home offered the challenge of restoration defining the period while incorporating the comforts of home. The comments often heard is 'Such a fine mix of old and new!'

Do a day trip to Chicago - we have a commuter train 8 minutes away that takes you to downtown Chicago or the museums. Also be sure to visit the LaPorte County Historical Museum which houses the 2nd largest weapons collection that was originally from this house! Considered a AAA gem site (must see when in the area), the museum is great fun for all ages.

Awesome reunion place to get everyone together.

This wonderful place was where our family members from Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Florida and our new family in Indiana got together. My son's wedding was in LaPorte where my new daughter-in-law lives. We had no idea there was a place for us all to be until my other daughter-in-law in Georgia found Arbor Hill Inn and called me. We could have never had such an adventure if we had to rent hotel rooms. The great decorations and places to just be together were incredible. We had enough room to have dinner there after the rehearsal and the local friends that came were so happy to come in and see the Inn from the inside. We each loved our bedrooms. They have such charm and are each so different. The sitting rooms were great for those of us that just wanted to talk and for our guys to escape to watch the end of the Alabama-Florida football game. Plenty of bathrooms and the kitchen was just the right size for the cooking we did for the rehearsal dinner. There are fabulous photo op places on the grounds and I know I will be seeing family photos in Christmas cards with the Inn in the background. We had wonderful help from Kris and Laura. Check it out for a great family adventure.
