After our experience at El Rancho Regina and Canyon Lake, we're certainly considering annualizing our trip. Every square inch of the property was utilized and we had everything we needed. There was something for everyone--down time, water sports, walking, napping, game-playing. We'll be back!

Independence Day at El Rancho Regenia

We had a family reunion at the ranch and had a wonderful time. We found everything to be exactly as "advertised". There is a lot of room inside and a lot to do outside. Our grandchildren kept busy the whole time with the lake right on the property, a canoe available for our use, and a golf cart to get around in. We enjoyed bike rides, fishing in the private pond, and especially visiting and feeding the animals. Anytime we had questions the owner, Jill, was readily available to respond and help. She invited the kids to join her in feeding the animals and went above and beyond in making us feel at home. We highly recommend this property to everyone who wants to enjoy a good time and have a relaxing vacation and hope to return ourselves.

Perfect vacation house

This is the place to stay on Canyon Lake!!! You never have to leave - it has everything!! Only things required are lake towels and food, everything else is provided! The pond, outdoor cooking area, treehouse for the kiddos, farm animals, upstairs deck, golf cart and the lake are just a few of the perks at this house!! Perfect vacation house for families with children. This is our second year and we will continue to return each year. Jill is a wonderful host and always very helpful!!!

Wonderful family time at El Rancho Regenia

We spent a long weekend at El Rancho Regenia with our children and grandchildren. The property is wonderful and a great value. The outdoor areas were spacious and comfortable and the grandkids loved the pond, animals, and the golf cart. There is ample outdoor space for children to roam. Inside the house, everything was very comfortable with plent of room (there were 11 of us). One of the best things compared to other places we have rented is that there were enough bathrooms to provide privacy and convenience. There are more nearby activities and attractions than we had time for. We went boating on Canyon Lake one day and took the kids to Sea World one day. My favorite part was relaxing on the upper deck looking out at the lake. Jill was available if we needed anything, but, otherwise, left us to ourselves. This house is at the top of our list for a return visit.

Guy's Weekend

Perfect get-a-way spot for Austinites and all alike. The house provided a great platform for a group of guys to unwind and get away from reality for a few days to enjoy the lake, some good BBQ/beer and a few rounds of washers. The house is convenient to the lake marina, which is handy for boat owners. The house comes with all the amenities you need and want including a great view.

The first night in a few of us dunked a few lures in the pond and managed to wrangle in a solid 3-pound largemouth after a long visit to the Real Ale Brewery (Blanco). We held a few washer tournies on the bottom porch while the others sat around the table on the second balcony enjoying a few beers. The second day we made it down to the lake and got some good wakeboarding sets in early followed by some water buffaloeing in the afternoon. That night we hung out at the house and cooked up some mean BBQ and continued our never ending search for the perfect game of washers.

Pros: Great space, good location, spectacular amenities, awesome property management (very accommodating to our last minute needs)

Cons: Non really except I don't live there. To be completely critical the only issue we had was a lack of a good place to pull the boat up for lunch. I have a V-drive inboard that needs a couple feet of clearance under the surface. The shoreline is relatively flat and shallow close in (look for a small channel straight out from the concrete slab). We just tied off the back end to an anchor and pulled the hull in tight with a rope. All was good. We were wet anyway, so a little walk in the water for 10-15 yards was no biggie.

Notes:	The main floor has a fully furnished kitchen, a dining room that seats 8 and a kitchen bar area that seats 4. Our oversized family room extends onto a large covered deck where you can sip your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over the lake or just relax after a long day of playing. The master suite has a private entrance onto the upper covered deck. Downstairs has a kitchenette, living area, 2 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, utility room along with outdoor access. We have a covered bar-b-que area with a custom built-in smoke pit, a charcoal grill and a gas grill to fire up some Texas size steaks. Just below the house we have a fully stocked pond with a lighted pier - be sure to bring your own bait and tackle! Walking, biking and horse back riding trails meander around the property along beautiful Canyon Lake. We also have a picnic table along the lakes edge.
