Panoramic wilderness views across the Big Lake from the cathedral wall of glass in one of your two living rooms. You won't find a more beautiful spot to come home to after a day on the trails. Plenty of parking, so you can unload those sleds once, period! Large mudroom for your gear, full appliances and accessorized kitchen with dining for six at the table and two at the kitchen bar.   • Our king master suite is privately located on the first floor, overlooking the beautiful lake and uninterrupted vista of wilderness. From the Brazilian Cherry floors to the luxury linens and walk in shower, you will not find a more luxuriously appointed rustic retreat. HDTV is provided, in case the loons are keeping you up!! You may not want to leave this private oasis! Queen bedroom Downstairs with premium linens, two large windows facing your private lake vista with a beautiful cooling summer breeze and only 50 ' from the lake. Sneak our the sliding 12' glass doors with your coffee and wait for the fish to jump and the loons to start calling. You have a private entrance to the full bath. Bunk room hosts two double, adult size beds and a twin in the back bedroom. Themed with Adirondack quilts and welcoming linens and puffs. It has a large closet and just a few steps from the full bath. New Innerspring futon sleeps two in the family room.

Another Stay At The Ambros eLodge!

Well, It was our second year staying at the Ambrose Lodge for our annual guys snowmobile week and we had a great time! This will be our go to place to stay every year.

It is perfectly situated for access to the feeder trail if you dont want to go accross the lake to get to the trails. Or you can hop on the lake and zip accross to get to trail 5 and head up to the higher elevation in no time!

We rode some great trails, 143, 112, 5 ,20 all were excellent. A few guys in our group were registered in Maine also and did a nice ride from the Lodge to Ustis Maine, it was 145 miles round trip and the trails were excellent.

We had plenty of room to park our trucks and trailers. I have a 3 place trailer and got it in and out of there with no problems!

As always, Pamela provides anything you need at the Lodge and it is better than described.

Thank you again for letting us stay at your Lodge again this year and hope to be back again next year.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!!!

Our family and our friends completely enjoyed ourselves over the Christmas/New Year break this year! The house is beautiful, and the view is amazing! Its hard to believe this is a rental house, as the attention to detail and quality of the house and furnishings are nicer than what I have in my own home!

The second level of the house is fantastic for the kids! They had a completely separate area for enjoying movies and video games, and we could enjoy the peace and quiet on the main level.

The snowmobiling is fantastic! We could not snowmobile on the lake yet as the ice was not safe, but the access trail to the main trail was perfect and so much fun! The trails in Pittsburg are fantastic, and the local restaurants are fun to snowmobile to as well!

We had a terrific stay, and Pamela could not be more responsive and helpful! We will certainly be back again!

A month at Ambrose Lodge

As I'm writing this, I find I'm having a hard time pinpointing exactly what it is about Ambrose Lodge that we love so much. There are so many great things about it. We love the seamless blend of rustic decoration and modern amenities. We love that there's ample room for activities and games, or for just cuddling up and watching a movie. We love the quiet seclusion. There's never anyone driving by, and we don't hear the trucks along route 3. All these things are wonderful, but what really makes our vacation perfect is indescribable. There's a feeling of serenity when we're out by the lake at night, with a drink in hand, surrounded by loved ones. The only sounds are the occasional loon, the crackle of the fire, and light-hearted conversation. It's peaceful beyond words. For one month a year, we rent a house, but it certainly feels an awful lot like home.

We had a fantastic time at the Ambrose Lodge - the view of the lake should be placed on a postcard. Pamela provides everything needed to spend an enjoyable and comfortable week at the lake. Thank you Pam and Ed for another wonderful vacation. This is our second time vacationing at Ambrose Lodge and have to say this is our favorite by far. The home is beautiful in and out. So much detail to the decour to make you feel right at home. The privacy of the great outdoors surrounded by First Connecticut lake and wooded lot. Nice yard for outside games. The wiid life is all everywhere. Moose, deer, fox, rabbits and plenty of wild turkeys . We highly recommend Ambrose Lodge to everyone that wants a spectacular vacation in the North Country. We did not dine out because we perferred to eat right here. They have some wonderful restaurants close by if you wish to.
