The moment we first laid eyes on this circa 1750 sandstone farmhouse, we knew immediately what an incredibly special home it was. We are thrilled to share this beautiful piece of history with you. It is privately situated in the peaceful village of Lampeter where you will have easy and quick access to all the attractions that define the Lancaster County experience. This home has been expertly renovated and tastefully appointed with high quality furnishings for maximum comfort and a mix of antiques that compliment its place in history as one of Lancaster’s seven original farmhouses. Not only will you be surrounded by an authentic piece of Lancaster’s past, but you will be enveloped by all the comforts of the modern world. This home boasts flat screen TVs, high speed Internet, top of the line appliances, and central air.

An experience all in itself

We walked in and felt we were already experiencing Lancaster's history, staying in this farmhouse decorated in authentic farmhouse furniture and decor, with modern amenities and well appointed bathrooms and kitchen.

I loved the beautiful hardwood and softwood floors. The house exuded warmth and charm. After exploring the Amish areas and good food, driving back to our home was exciting as we looked forward to having coffee in a different area all of which invited many fun conversations....especially the wraparound verandah and the sunroom overlooking the pool.

Ample space, large beautiful home in a tranquil setting, lush trees and gardens. Perfect!

So Much More Than Promised!

This house is amazing. The listing made it look nice, but it was so much more. Clean, well furnished, high-end kitchen, new bathrooms... I could go on and on. I was part of a group of six women that stayed here for a writer's retreat. We all had our own space all day, and then congregated in the dining room each night for a wonderful dinner. We even used the nearby track at the school for midday exercise.

The owners were extremely helpful answering all of our questions ahead of time and left us a plate of homemade treats upon our arrival. We felt very welcomed, and it was so much better than renting a hotel. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Home

Our family just returned from a week long stay at the Carpenter House. From the very young to seniors, everyone enjoyed this house immensely! The screened in patio and pool were our favorite places to hang out! The house is in a nice central location to everything Lancaster has to offer. 10 minutes to Dutch Wonderland and restaurants, yet it's so peaceful, quiet, and private. The owners have thought of everything with this beautifully maintained house to make your vacation an amazing one!

Beautiful, Roomy, and Near High School Campus

I didn't personally stay here, but another group we were with did. The house is absolutely beautiful and so roomy.So lovely to sit outside in the large screened area for visits. The school campus is walking distance and has a walkway all around it. One person is an avid runner and they were able to use the arena track every day. Plenty of parking too. I was so jealous. Close to shopping and outlets. Nice, peaceful setting.
