Great place to stay

This place was everything we expected just a couple blocks to the street car and a safe and beautiful neighborhood. I emailed many listings for our stay but Liz was the only one with a quick response and every question I had in the days that followed were answered right away. You will not be disappointed there is so much to see in N.O its unreal. The city tour was great and WW2 museum very interesting the french quarter you have to be there to believe it we had a blast. Thanks Liz for a great place to stay and your acknowlegment of our daughters service to our country, we'll be back to N.O but this time for longer.

forget the hotels, stay at the Napoleon House

Couple at Rotary Convention late May 2011.

This was our first experiment in renting a flat instead of a hotel and we consider it a roaring success. Liz and MJ are super pro. Everything in the place was as you see it, fully functional and the location is ideal for viewing great architecture and stunning beautiful mansions. Super convenient proximity to grocery, restaurants, St. Charles street car, Magazine St. We felt 100% safe and not like we were in tourist world at all but the tourist stuff is only a quick streetcar ride away $1.25. I'm recommending Napoleon House to everyone.
I think we were spoiled.

NOLA vacation review

5 of 5
Submitted: March 22, 2011 Stayed: March 2011
Property was clean and well maintained. We stayed here with 3 teenagers. We had a rental car and had no problems with parking. The Audubon Park, French Quarter etc are a trolley ride away. We used the car to visit the Laura plantation and the Honey Wagner swamp tour and some restuarants (Surrey, The Joint, St.James Cheese) . The property has a steep staircase and the bedroom is upstairs. This did not cause an issue for us, but may for some others. We had enough room, just enough. We went to Whole Food for groceries and it was expensive. Walmart was good for basics. The apartment was good and all the places we visited were good. Weather was good. We had a great vacation. This property was a good value for us.

Just right!

We stayed here in November 2010, while attending a conference. The condo has all the historic charm promised, and modern conveniences expected. Plenty of room for two adults - we stayed in separate rooms. The location was just right - far enough from the conference to not feel like we were living there, and yet close enough by public transit to get there quickly. Rode the trolley to and from the conference, which only added to the overall experience. In the evenings you can ride all the way to the French Quarter. The neighborhood is very interesting and we felt safe the entire time. Walking distance to grocery shopping and restaurants. The owner was very friendly and professional. All in all - I highly recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again if I come back to the wonderful New Orleans!

The Napoleon House

5 of 5
Submitted: November 20, 2010 Stayed: October 2010
This house is so beautiful on the inside it literally took my breath away. The stain glass windows on the stairs up to our room were so pretty. The location is awesome also. One block from the quaint New Orleans street car on St. Charles Ave. and so close to Magazine street, where tons of great restaurants and shopping are. We even enjoyed walking to Magazine street one day where we had a great meal at Joey K's, yummy red beans and rice! It is also very close to a local New Orleans grocery called Rouse's that was great for some traditional creole cuisine. The inside of our little condo was very roomy with all the comforts of being at home. We especially loved the upstairs bedroom with the large flat screen TV! This vacation was one of our favorites by far, and a lot of that is due to the comfort, safety, and beautiful look that the Senator's house brought us! You can bet that we will be back to New Orleans, and we will definitely be staying at the place that felt like our home while we were away- - - The Senator's House!
