Our 1909 home has been completely renovated and beautifully decorated. Located in the historic Garden District, it is only a short walk to the center of downtown and the shores of Lake Coeur D'Alene. As you walk through the tree-lined streets of the neighborhood, you will see the steeple of the St. Thomas church as well as hear the twice daily chiming of the church bells.

Downtown is the center of Coeur d'Alene fun and you will find coffee shops, wine tasting, fine dining, shopping, live music and a vibrant art scene. City Park and Public Beach, on the beautiful shores of Lake Coeur D'Alene, will provide you with sunny life-guarded beaches, the popular Fort Sherman Playground, and boat, jet ski, kayak & canoe rentals. Lake cruises, seaplane tours and para-sailing are also popular summer activities. Centennial Trail, which winds along the lake for biking, running & walking, and Tubbs Hill hiking trail are also located within a short walk from the house.

The surrounding area is home to several golf courses, ski resorts, water parks and the popular Silverwood theme park. Golf courses include The Coeur D'Alene Resort, Circling Raven, The Highlands, and many more. The Trail of the Coeur D'Alene bike trail system provides 72 miles of paved paths thru the north Idaho landscape. Ski resorts including Schweitzer & Silver Mountain are within an hour drive.

Highlights of our home are many. The house has three stories with sleeping accommodations on all three levels. We have a large entertaining sized deck which has access from two of the upstairs bedrooms as well as from the kitchen breezeway. There are chaise lounges for sunbathing and an outdoor dining table for summer dining! The small backyard is fenced and is perfect for kids or playing a game of bocce.

On the upper level of the home there are two large bedrooms with queen beds, a third bedroom offers a twin bed with twin-sized pull-out trundle. All bedrooms have cable television. Two of the bedrooms have sliding doors out to the deck-perfect for that morning cup of coffee! The bathroom has been remodeled to include granite counter top, stone tiles and a jetted Jacuzzi tub.

The main floor is equipped with a large gourmet kitchen with eating space in both the kitchen and dining room. The oversized living room offers a 50-inch TV with a Wii video game system and custom designed marble fire place. Attached to living room through a set of French doors is an office/den that is perfect for a children's playroom and/or extra bedroom. There are numerous kid's toys, games and books as well as a queen sofa bed. The bathroom on this level is a 3/4 bath with shower.

The lower level has a large bedroom with 2 twin beds and cable television. The laundry facilities are also on this level.

We had a wonderful stay for our nieces wedding. The house is in a great central location and walkable to the lake. The house and deck were very spacious and clean. The house was well supplied with everything you might need and more. Diane the owner and Judy the property manager were really great to work with and made our stay so enjoyable. We will be back!!

Our family had the pleasure of staying in this home for a wedding week. The spaciousness of the home left us with plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The second story deck is an oasis and much larger than appears on the photos. The entire property is immaculate, beautifully appointed and well stocked. We walked everywhere - to dine, shop, visit friends in other properties, the lake, it is all a short distance from the home. The owners were very professional and responsive. It would be hard to find a better property in CDA in my book. A trememdous value and a pleasure to stay in.

Golf Guy Getaway

My buddies and I have been renting VRBO homes for years in the NW area for our annual getaway called the SVIT. In those 8 years, this house was cleaner, more well stocked and just better then all of the rest. Hats off to the owners for making their guests feel at home and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for anything else!!! much success in the future for the owners. Renters, this is a no brainer for a great stay in the CDL area.

we stayed for six nights for ironman 2014. in our party were 7 people: me, my husband, our 4 year old girls, his parents, and his parent's friend. there was more than enough room for all of us.

diane was highly responsive from the beginning of my correspondence through check-out. the contract was detailed and explicit. the cost was greatly increased for ironman {double the higher nightly price listed + the only reason for deducting a star}. though, this is common for the area.

upon arriving, the property manager was waiting on the porch for us, and efficiently, but thoroughly guided us around the house. she returned early one morning to spray for ants on the front walkway at my request. we experienced an issue with a neighbor, and diane is following up on this.

the house was quite clean, and very well stocked with necessities--including toys, books, and other kid stuff. the deck was perfect for hosting a large group dinner the night before the race. with three athletes staying in the house, having a place easily walkable to the expo and race start was a must. with the exception of a run to the grocery store, we didn't use our car the entire stay. and, we were able to return twice to the house during the race without missing any spectating opportunities. the athletes also appreciate the garage for their bikes, and the washer/drier for their tri clothes.

Owner's Response: The Ironman rates in the Coeur d'Alene area are driven by supply and demand. We feel our rates are very competitive in relation to the size and location of our house. Our previous Ironman renters have been very satisfied. We very much appreciate that our renters contact us with any issues that arise. This allows us to properly maintain the house and property when we are not there. We have discussed and settled the parking question with our neighbor. Our house sits on a large corner lot and we have plenty of street parking on both sides. We also have a garage door with opener available to our renters.

Fun on the Lake

My family and I spent a wonderful week in this beautiful home. We had amazing weather and soaked up all that CDA had to offer. The location of the home made walking into downtown Coeur d'Alene easy and very enjoyable. We brought our bikes and went on rides through the garden district. The house was clean and had all the necessities. Thank you for sharing your wonderful get-a-way. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to vacation in CDA.
