Luxuriate in the peace and serenity of this private three bedroom, three and a half bath villa with its newly remodeled Caribbean décor. Its fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms are also new. About The Owner

We first fell in love with Villa Sea Watch, in Dawn Beach Estates, in 1992, after falling in love with St. Maarten/St. Martin in 1983. We enjoy the privacy of the estates and Dawn Beach, only steps away. We have stayed on other parts of the island, but nothing beats the feel of community here, surrounded by mountains and turquoise ocean, and some of the best food anywhere! We truly enjoy great food and drink, and we can stay right in our own area, nestled between Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond with its lovely European looking marina, a short distance to French St. Martin. We absolutely LOVE romantic, fun, SXM!

Living luxury right over the ocean! A short walk to Dawn Beach and Westin Resort and Casino, and 4 & 5 star restaurants everywhere right in the neighborhood, yet peaceful and quiet, away from the noise. From Villa Sea Watch, you can walk to Dawn Beach, one of the most beautiful displays of turquoise water anywhere. Sleep or relax to the soothing sound of the surf. If you like snorkeling, Dawn Beach has a live coral reef! Busby's Beach Bar is the best, day or night, among other great restaurants, right on Oyster Bay. Walk to The Westin for happy hour, also right on the beach.

We have stayed in different villas and luxury resorts, but Villa Sea Watch is conveniently located to great food, beach, great beach bars and the best, tremendous views of St. Barth's, and the most incredible turquoise ocean. It feels like home. We wanted to be on the ocean, but not right on a beach, because we like more privacy. The villa sits atop lava rock, so it is protected, yet only a few feet from the ocean. Every room overlooks the sea. The pool hangs over the ocean's edge, and there is always a breeze. We eat and live on the patio! Of course, the pool and patio just happen to be a few steps away from the fully equipped wet bar! The people of St. Maarten are sweet and friendly, too.

What makes this villa unique

This is in an elite, private, quiet gated community. People know each other and are friendly. This somewhat off-the-main path community has everything: glorious beach with a live coral reef, fantastic beach bars, Westin Resort within walking distance, which has a full service casino, and several restaurants. We can drive to 'the action' if we like; what's best is that we come home to a peaceful evening. The tropical gardens surround the villa and patio/pool. We enjoy peaceful nights sitting on the patio watching a magnificent sky loaded with stars we never get to see at home (and we live in the country!). We also have the most incredible photos of the full moon over the ocean. You can see St. Barths, St. Kitts, Nevis and Eustacia in the distance. Heavenly.

Great getaway for a couple or a group

My wife and I had a fabulous getaway at Villa Sea Watch. It is very relaxing and has a beautiful and convenient location. It provided a quiet time for the two of us to escape from our busy work life. The location is beautiful and scenic, the seaside is relaxing and the patio and pool are wonderful. The feel of the breezes on the patio and through the house were fabulous. What could be better than a breakfast of tropical fruit, great cheese and juice overlooking the sea with a fresh breeze in your face? The location was also convenient for many activities including the many beautiful beaches on the island (you can walk to Dawn beach) and the excellent restaurants. We liked being near the border of the Dutch and French sides. We also took advantage of access to St Barths and Anguilla by ferry and of the opportunities for snorkeling. We also had great fun at Grand Case which has excellent restaurants and a mini Mardi Gras. The villa has three comfortable bedrooms all with great views, balconies and great airflow. It will easily accomodate three couples or a family group. Access to internet, having a washer and dryer and having a fully functional kitchen made our vacation very easy and realxing. It also has a large TV (which we did not watch). We cannot wait to go back!

We Never Wanted to Leave!!!

We just returned from a wonderful week at Sea Watch in Dawn Beach Estates over Christmas week 2012. The pictures on the website did not do the location and house justice as the real thing surpassed the description. Our family of 5 (3 teens) had more than enough space in the three bedrooms and the common areas of the house which allowed for many comfortable and relaxing days of enjoyment. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked great and allowed for comfortable sleeping though we did leave the windows open as well to hear the roar of the surf. The house location perched on the edge of the ocean with incredible vistas and “killer” morning sunrises, made this house a real winner!
The house’s location just around the bend from the main portion of Dawn Beach allowed for easy access when the kids wanted to go solo to the beach or to grab a bite to eat.
The security in Dawn Beach Estates made us feel very comfortable but we never felt there would be any issues, which there were not.
The house’s location between the Phillipsburg and Dawn Beach/Orient Beach areas allowed for easy car access to all the good eating spots on the island including Grand Case and Marigot but the best part was the lack of traffic in the area of the island where the house is located. There are a number of local food stores and restaurants within a mile or two from the house including the cluster of places around Oyster Pond but the larger supermarkets were also just a 5-10 minute drive away. We got great use of the kitchen as it was well equipped for preparing all meals.
The best part was the pool and deck where our family spent most of our time. The Wi-Fi and Cable TV worked great and allowed our teenage kids to stay connected while still being far away from things. We felt we were in someone's comfortable home and not just in a bare-bones rental unit.

We will most certainly return to Sea Watch in the future.

2nd stay at Sea Watch

This is the second time at Villa Sea Watch for me and my wife. We took along another couple who was enjoying VSW for the first time. It was, in short, amazing. You could almost have the perfect vacation and never leave the villa....almost. With the beauty of the surrounding area and the amemnities that the owners have added in recent years, The master suite is as nice as any resort I've been to and the 2 other bedrooms are excellent. The kitchen is complete and the bar by the patio is a great addition. We even used the outdoor grill a few nights for "Home Cooked Meals". And the swimming pool!! Words can't describe how beautiful the pool area is. You can sit at the end and look over your shoulder at the ocean below. Just amazing. This is the perfect getaway. We are already planning our next trip to VSW!!

Everything we expected and more

We’re back from our recent villa/sailing trip to St Maarten and were thrilled with the accommodations at Villa Sea Watch. We enjoyed the island both as landlubbers and sailors, but the villa was a spectacular treat at very reasonable cost. It's no hype -- the photos, as beautiful as they are, don't do it justice.
Restaurants we were particularly pleased with included the Tropicana in Marigot marina, L’Effet de Mer next to the dinghy dock in Grand Case, and, as recommended by the owners, Mr Busby’s Beach Bar at Dawn Beach. We’re already looking forward to another tirip.

Our stay at Villa Sea Watch could not have been more perfect. An absolutely beautiful, pristine property that sits right on the brink of the Atlantic Ocean. Sitting in the pool looking at the ocean is divine. A restful night's sleep is guaranteed as you are lulled by the waves of the ocean. The villa is supplied with everything you could possibly need during your stay and is immaculately cared for. The gourmet kitchen has beautiful appliances and accessories. The island is fun and people are friendly. Very nice restaurants on the French side of the island are remarkable. This is a great vacation getaway!
