El Cielo ~ The Perfect Venue for Special Occasions
Old world charm at its absolute finest with the most gracious, accommodating hosts one could ever hope for. Efficient, amiable staff a phone call away serves one's every need. This spacious, yet, romantic hacienda is perfect for weddings with its second-story balcony and stairway for a bride's dramatic entrance. Two formal dining rooms, huge solarium, great room and game room/bar host your special guests, with 5 beautifully landscaped acres for tents and tables throughout the grounds' plush gardens. Truly perfect for any occasion: weddings, birthdays, retirement parties, christenings, anniversaries, family reunions, bachelor/ette bashes, holidays, even business meetings, focus groups or lectures, El Cielo hosts your festivities or group with the utmost grace. Wedding planners and caterers find El Cielo offers itself with ease of management. We, however, thoroughly enjoyed the entire gated, fenced, 5 acre, 5000 s/f expanse all to ourselves for an entire month! The gift we received became the highlight of our lifetime and truly grateful to our special hosts we remain. Mystery and intrigue permeate this one-in-a-million property rumored to have been the governor's mansion years past. And so it seems in all its regal, stately grandeur. Living in a much smaller home, it took days to learn the floor plan, calling out on several occasions: 'Where are you!?" But no echoes in this warm and charming home we heard, save those of the heartfelt family who had gone before. Antiques and collectibles adorn with rich textures and tapestries making even the 20 ft. ceilinged formal living room comfortable and cozy. It was difficult to choose from the four huge bedrooms with adjoining baths making full master suites. But we did, and the lady of the house enjoyed the entire second story, bathing, dressing, primping or just a bit of time to herself, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Fresh pullet eggs in the morning with regal peacocks on sentry about the grounds in the afternoon made each day a special occasion. We so came to enjoy the swing in the garden each evening at sunset after a full day scouting Santa Fe, just outside the electric gate. Walking the labyrinth of grounds one finds gentlemen's outdoor games, organic gardens and miniature horses to fill the bill in this king's court.
