House, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3-4)

Casa Azul has some the best views in Rincon. From the apartment you can see the ocean, the beaches and inland over the town of Rincon. The apartment is below a privately owned house, and is all new construction, freshly painted and beautiful furnishings plus great indoor and outdoor spaces.

The house and apartment is situated on top of a hill and is a short walk the wonderful Puntas Bakery and about a ten minute walk to Pools Beach, or a quick drive to many great beach spots. Centrally located to all the beaches and restaurants in Rincon, this location will make your vacation a fantastic one.

The private back deck off the living space come with deck chairs, dining table and BBQ. The bedroom is large with a walk-in closet and has a queen bed with a very good mattress and 100% cotton bedding. There is a den that has two twin beds off the bedroom. There is another apartment below this one that is also available, making the apartment perfect for two families traveling together.

The apartment is very clean and easy to live in. The rooms are colorfully painted, with comfortable furnishings and great beds. The bathroom is tiled in white with new fixtures. There is a very large kitchen with an eat-in island that has six stools. Each room boasts fantastic views as well as plenty of ventilation from the trade winds and all rooms have ceiling fans.

About The Owner

We are the 'Endless Summer' family. We live on the East End of Long Island and during the winter months spend as much time as possible in our Rincon home. We like to rent it out when we are not there so others can enjoy this wonderful spot! We built this dream house so we could have the perfect place to spend time with our family. We have Emma, 6 and James, 3 plus countless friends and cousins here all the time. The house is totally kid friendly - with cribs and toys for kids plus nearby beaches with many activities for all ages. The Puntas Bakery is my daughter's favorite spot and it is about a two minute walk from the house. In Puerto Rico, The Bakery is like a deli in the USA - with great prepared foods, sandwiches and excellent pastries and coffee, too! When we built the house we we created two separate apartments below the main house which we rent out as well. One attaches to the house and it has been a great way to have company but still have our own space!

Why The Owner chose Rincon

We built in Rincon because it is the Surfing Capital of the Caribbean. It has some of the best surf in the world. We love it because even if there are big waves, we can still find great beach to spend time on with the kids.

The best thing about our property is the location and the views. Hands down, they are just perfect.

This was our first visit to Puerto Rico and Rincon and we were blown away. There is so much to do that one week is definitely not enough. This unit is in the middle of a friendly neighborhood that is centrally located to many great beaches, the town of Rincon and fabulous places to eat. It was clean and comfortable with a great covered deck with outstanding views. The owners spend a lot of time in the area and have excellent recommendations for restaurants, surf lessons, you name it. They are also quick to respond to any questions. Don't let the lack of air conditioning throw you, because the breezes and fans keep the house very comfortable and we needed covers at night, even though it was in the 80's outside during the day. If you want to experience real Puerto Rico, in a beautiful, relaxed, friendly community and not at a resort that could just as well be in Florida, then you should check out this area and stay here.

Pictures do not do Casa Azul justice! This place is magical! The beach is literally a 5 minute walk from the house. Sitting on the deck at night, listening to the coqui and staring at the moon and stars! Such a beautiful view! Our girls didn't want to leave! We will definitely be going back!

Seriously. Stop looking now. This is the place to stay. We just stayed there this past holiday weekend and I ultimately considered moving in! The place is immaculately clean, built within the past 10 years, and has AMAZING views (the views are even better than the photos above do them justice). If this wasn't enough, the owners are extremely cool, helpful and informative. This is cause not only do they rent this place out, but they clearly love the lifestyle down there, and can therefore give you tons of the anecdotal information that us travelers crave. One night the remote to the TV went bust and Gina replaced it within hours. Nothing is overlooked and the house is very close to the beaches (I timed a 3-minute drive [take the shortcut across from the bar towards the lighthouse]).

I honestly cant write enough to say how much we enjoyed our stay there. And the fact that their rates are the best in the area is delicious icing to the cake.

My friend and I had a great experience
staying at this property.

Pros:
- EXTREMELY clean
- New construction and furniture - you
don't feel like you're sleeping in
someone else's bed
- Large porch w/ grill
- Living room with TV
- Kitchen has all the basics that you
need
- Bath and beach towels provided
- Parking onsite
- Close to Puntas Bakery
- Owner and local management
extremely responsive and
accommodating
- Good cell phone reception (AT&T)
- Spacious
- Secure
- Friendly neighbors!

Cons: (not too many for this place!)
- Internet does not work
- The porch would move from great to
awesome if it had a hammock ;)
- Door locks in such a way that it would
be possible to accidentally lock
someone in the house (but other than
this quirk it is very secure)

Overall, I would highly recommend this
property, we had a great experience!
Owner's Response: Yeah! We love feedback and reviews like this! We will work on the Internet so it is always working, it is sporadic sometimes, that's thanks to the phone company!

We have two deck lounges and cushions now on that deck, perhaps a hammock some day to! We are always working to make our rentals the best they can be for our guests!
