'My wife and I have rented many properties in Kailua and Lanikai .....and without exception, this is the best one bedroom unit we have found.'

' The cottage is absolutely beautiful! The photos and description do not do it justice. We felt like we were living in a Better Homes and Garden Magazine and can't wait to do it all over again.'

'Oh my gosh, where to start!!! What a gorgeous home! ...'Whomever designed this home did an amazing job. Loads of windows and doors made for a great cross breeze. The cottage was exceptionally clean...the bed very comfortable.'

Walking distance to Kailua and Lanikai Beaches. Kailua Beach was rated #1 Beach by Dr. Beach. The beach stretches for 3 1/2 miles and has warm sparkling aqua waters where the sea turtles love to play. Perfect for Kayakers, swimmers and windkiters. Walk to Buzz's Steakhouse and enjoy fresh island fish and Mai Tais. For your morning coffee there is Kalapawai Market down the bike path. There is a walking path and bike path just a few steps away.

Jim and our family built this cottage and we hope you enjoy your stay.

I surf and my wife loves to ocean swim. We like the relaxed casual lifestyle Kailua offers. We love the pace of Kailua and decided to make it our home over 10 years ago.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Sunshine Cottage. The location directly across the street from Kailua Beach Park was perfect. The cottage was beautiful and contained everything we needed. We also enjoyed meeting and visiting with the owners. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends. We enjoyed also walking to Lanikai Beach and the handy K. Market every morning. Buzz's restaurant is so convenient and we also enjoyed The Grove in Kailua Town. We rented bikes and they made for a nice ride around the town.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The cottage is perfect !
There is everything that you could imagine to need ...
Very well manteined, beautiful decoration, perfect location, walking distance to wonderfull beaches
( Kailua and Lanikai ).
I've been renting houses in Oahu for about 10 years, and definitely the Sunshine Cottage is one of the best ones ..

Upon arriving we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owners. The cottage is fabulous and very comfortable for the two of us. Everything was in working order including the washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable.
The location is perfect. We walked across the street to the beach carrying beach chairs and snacks and spent a relaxed afternoon with the locals.
We drove into Honolulu once to see Pearl Harbor and Waikiki-- what a madhouse of tour buses and traffic!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!!

Charming and comfortable cottage. Lots of space, clean and lovely decor. Fun to be in a real town and not in a touristy area. Easy walk to the beach. Beach chairs and towels are provided.
Just beware that the cottage is on a small lane with other homes very close to it. We had very loud neighbors in the rental property next door- not too pleasant. In spite of that, still would highly recommend Sunshine Cottage.
