AIRPLANE VIEWS OF TUCSON VALLEY FROM HIGHEST LUXURY HOME

Tucson House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 7 Baths (Sleeps 10-12+)

This is a private home on 3 gated acres bordering Coronado National Forest Wilderness Area. This 5,000 square foot contemporary Santa Fe style home is beautifully situated on the highest and most scenic improved parcel in the northeast Catalina Foothills at the base of Mount Lemmon. 4 bedrooms, 7 baths, gourmet kitchen, detached game room, and multiple porches and decks with the best views of the Tucson valley-period.

This home is nestled into a saguaro studded hillside at on elevation of 3,300’ (Downtown Tucson is about 2,350’). It is the highest estate in the northeast foothills of Tucson and the view must be seen to be believed. During the day, you can see the mountains on the Mexican border (68 miles away) and at night, the sea of lights of metro Tucson are below you. Behind the home is designated wilderness area filled with wildlife and improved hiking trails off of the Catalina Highway to Mount Lemmon. The daytime temperatures in the summer are about 4 degrees less than downtown because of our elevation and the nighttime temperatures in the winter run at least 5 degrees warmer because we are off of the valley floor and sitting on solid granite.

Mt. Lemmon is a rare jewel in the Arizona desert. Jutting up 9,000 feet above sea level in the Santa Catalina Mountains north of our house, this magnificent mountain peak stands amidst the pale backdrop of the sparse desert sand and cactus. From our driveway, you begin the journey into a geological time warp moving through a saguaro forest for the first 10 minutes, then into many oak and pinion pine covered mountains with spectacular rock formations. Within 35 minutes, you can be fishing for trout at Rose Canyon Lake in the ponderosa pines. If you continue on, you quickly arrive at the small village of Summerhaven and the Ski Valley lift at over 8,000’ elevation. Many trails can be found in both the lower and upper elevations for winter or summer hiking.

Even though you sense extreme privacy on the property, you are only minutes away from many activities:

Golf at Arizona National (formerly the Raven) in 10 minutes, 49ers Country Club in 10 minutes, Ventana Canyon in 25 minutes, and many more great golf courses within an hour.

Grocery shopping, restaurants, drug stores, and virtually everything you might need to purchase on a day to day basis are within 8 minutes. Park Mall is about 20-25 minutes away.

Drive time to the University of Arizona is about 35 minutes and to downtown Tucson, about 5 minutes further.

We're at the end of Quesada Pl behind a private gate that protects 7 other 3 acre parcels with 3 other large custom homes.

The Owner purchased this house in 2002

This is a true Sonoran desert setting in one of the most pristine saguaro forests in the world.

I've been a custom home builder in southern Arizona for nearly 20 years and spent 3 years building this home for our own family, finishing in 2002. We absolutely loved living on this great property until the kids went off to college and we became free to travel more. You'll love it! A link to an online video walk through of the property is available upon request.

This property has proven to be ideal for golfers, bicyclists, hikers and runners, housing for out of town wedding guests and family, special occasions, gourmet cooks, Canadians and everyone else who lives where it is too darn cold or wants to experience a warm Sonoran Desert experience with the best views in the Tucson Valley! A link to an online video walk through of the property is available upon request.

If and when there are more than 20 guests on the property, there may be an added 'extra guests' impact fee. Please inquire. This is not a wedding venue! The Pima County Development Services Center/Zoning Enforcement Division has advised me that weddings and other events cannot be specifically scheduled on the property by the owners due to zoning restrictions.

HAD OUR WEDDING HERE! AWESOME PLACE!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I had our wedding there in early January 2014. This property was perfect for us. We had a wedding of no more than 60-65 people which we wanted. When we were initially looking, like most couples, we were looking at normal venues. When we heard about this we were very interested. For a decent price you get the property for an extended period of time.
It was great. The property oversees Tucson. He had all of the equipment we needed for the wedding. We got to let our families stay at the house over the weekend. Jack, the owner, is a very nice guy who is flexible and accommodating. We made memories that will last our lifetime and we wouldn't have had it anywhere else. The property also includes a manual with everything you need to know about this humongous house. I highly recommend it for anyone.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN TUCSON!!...IF WE COULD GO TO 6 STARS...THIS WOULD BE THE PROPERTY!!

  • 5 of 5
OK!..I am the golf trip organizer for our yearly event…between 4 -12 participants. This year was our 13th annual. For our November vacation, we selected Tucson…. and my task, yet again, was to find a rental house to satisfy the very discerning and picky guys from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Canada.
It must have been a stroke of luck, I selected...The Catalina Foothills house!...built and owned by Jack.. Having reviewed the listing, my guys in unison said…book it!!
As many others renters have stated, the pictures do not do justice to the majestic house and the amazing views!...the large great room windows, the balcony and the tiered decks, all facing west with stunning views overlooking Tucson, the mountains and the amazing sunsets!!
You have likely read the comments on the overall quality of the property, high end furniture, appliances, the great room with 16’ ceilings, the detached games room and hot tub…so soothing after golf!!!...all first class!!!
What made this property our most favourite rental of our 13 years was the very personal attention accorded to us by Jack!! He met us at the house and provided a tour inside and out to ensure we were comfortable with all aspects of the property and were apprised on how everything worked!
Upon my return from the trip, I was very pleased and surprised to receive our rental deposit from Jack mere days later! With other rentals, my experience has been a wait of many weeks!...thanks Jack!!
Our group also had the distinct pleasure of socializing with Jack, Sue and a few of their friends!...we can’t wait to return to Tucson, rent this fabulous property and visit our hosts, Jack and Sue again!!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!

  • 5 of 5
After looking at various wedding venues and accommodation options for out of town friends and family, we happened upon Jack's place. We were able to house out of town guests and also had our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception at the house. It was great!! The views and pictures were absolutely stunning. The ceremony was so gorgeous and intimate.

The house is immaculate and well-kept and it is fully stocked with anything you'd need to make your stay comfortable! The energy in the house is very calming and inviting, and Jack was extremely accommodating to any and all of our requests to make our stay perfect.

Our guests (even native Tusconans!) were blown away by the experience of being in the beautiful mountains surrounded by nature, and by how secluded and gorgeous this house is. We were really sad to leave; after a week we really felt like it was home! I can't say enough great things about our overall experience with the property and Jack, the owner. It was just perfect!!!

JUST PERFECT

  • 5 of 5
I have to say this was a God-send when looking for a home for 2 families and Grandma to celebrate our son's wedding in Tucson. We happened across this home on the web and when we looked at the available days it was just perfect for when we needed it, Thurs through Mon. Jack was very accomodating and helpful and we were fortunate he solved the problem of where to have the rehersal dinner...right there on the patio! We were able to use his extra tables, cloths, chairs, ribbon ties all at the home for a nominal fee. We had a great time in Tucson and were able to get to anywhere we needed to go from this home. We had the use of anything in the cupboards, and we contributed what we had left over and didn't need after our stay. The extra game building was perfect for the young adults in our family and we spent many hours in the spa and watching the fire in the fireplace outside. The view is utterly fantastic. You won't go wrong if you rent this beautiful home. It will have lasting memories for us.

PERFECT GIRLS WEEKEND PLACE

  • 5 of 5
This place is beyond perfect for our group of scrapbookers. We have stayed here twice and plan to come again. Jack is very accommodating and generous. We scrapbooked day and night, cooked, hot tubbed and enjoyed the game room. It's fantastic. You cannot beat the view or the space.

AMAZING PROPERTY AND STAY

  • 5 of 5
I live in the Tucson area and rented this amazing house with its beautiful view for one week from May 30 – June 5 to visit with family that came out to visit me. From start to finish, the owner (Jack) welcomed me into his home and made every effort to make me feel comfortable, answered my questions, and assisted me as needed. He was extremely polite, professional, helpful, and accommodating.

The house is very spacious and enormously comfortable. It has top of the line appliances, large rooms and beds, and multiple thermostats to adjust for comfort. As well as being able to enjoy the view from inside the house, it also has multiple outdoor areas (two decks, Jacuzzi, and outdoor fireplace) to look down the side of the mountain and enjoy the impressive panoramic Tucson valley view and relax. It was remarkably quiet and private as well. My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay and they are looking forward to coming back. We have stayed in one of the resorts in town and while it was nice, it does not even hold a candle to this property. I will definitely be contacting Jack again next time I have anyone coming out to visit me in Tucson.

I have to agree with other individuals that have reviewed this house; the pictures and video do not do it justice. I cannot say enough good things about my stay, the property, and the owner. Top Notch!
