Thank you for considering our 4 Bdrm, 4 1/2 bath Kiawah home located in the private Vanderhorst section (past the 2nd Gate) of Kiawah. If you are looking for the perfect combination of comfortable luxury and location - THIS IS IT! The home is newly renovated and professionally decorated with new, comfortable furniture throughout.
We are perfectly located with only a short 300 yard walk to the Beach and situated right on the beautiful 13th, par 5 lagoon hole of Turtle Point Golf Course. The home is fully outfitted with everything you'll need - linens, towels, games, books, toys, beach chairs & beach toys.
168 Surfsong features a convenient office area with a desk and credenza. The Home has Wifi for your use. You can complete some work or catch up on the internet near all of the action in the main living areas. The home also has an IPod Speaker system (just plug in your ipod), 4 Cable TVs (2 flat screen TVs), 2 DVD players, and VCR.
You'll create great and memorable meals in the gourmet, eat-in Kitchen with Granite countertops, two sinks and the finest appliances...two Sub Zeros (refrigerator and beverage fridge), Thermador range, Dacor oven and warming drawer, and Bosch dishwasher. Conversations will start around the large granite island with stool seating and the comfortable kitchen dining area. The kitchen is immediately connected to a very large dining room that seats 10. The dining area flows into a beautiful living area with fireplace and comfortable couches and chairs.
A separate , cozy TV/Game Den has a very large sectional couch and 4 ottomans. We have a new 50 inch flat screen TV with Smart Web Capability! You'll also find an extensive book library in this room as well as games and toys.

** All living areas have huge windows that pull in the great Kiawah views! Open the three seperate sliders to access the large deck and outdoor table and chairs - this includes a set of comfy lounge chairs and matching ottomans. Ceiling fans offer you an outdoor deck breeze when needed in the Summertime. Your view is a long par 5 hole with a sizable lagoon.

Every bedroom has a private bathroom, new furniture, new beds/mattresses and ample dresser and closet space. The closets are all custom with drawers and multiple clothes hanging areas.
*The Master Suite is expansive and includes his and her walk in closets and a Master Bath with double vanities, shower and jetted tub. It is located on the 1st floor. We have recently totally remodeled the Master Bathroom.
*On the second floor are TWO additional bedrooms, each with a private full bath. One is a spacious queen with a private bath and the second is the kids favorite - the bunk bedroom with two sets of Bunk Beds and a private bathroom. It sleeps 4
*The fourth bedroom is also a queen with a private full bath. It is above the garage for added privacy and fully accessible from the main part of the house.

We felt that this house offered the best combination of location and comfort on Kiawah Island. We wanted to be very close to the beach, a short drive to shopping/dining all with easy access to Charleston. We have all of that in this perfect location. The house also offers expansive, open living areas and a total square footage of approximately 4100 square feet.
This is a home, not a rental home...what I mean by that is - we seek to rent about 12 weeks a year so that the house stays in great condition. We also do not allow groups exceeding 10 - this also ensures the house remains in great condition. We also continue to upgrade - we will complete a brand new master bath, new powder room and decorative trim project in the Spring of 2013. You could argue that the house did not need those enhancements but we felt it would really add to the beauty and comfort of the home. I hope you enjoy our home - thank you for your consideration.
