SPECTACULAR OCEAN VIEW - 5 BR/5 BA - POOL - DISCOUNT FOR COUPLES

We have visited Mazatlan many times over the years. This home was by far the best place we've stayed. The ocean views are spectacular. The home is spacious and immaculate. For our tastes, the location was fantastic; close enough to walk to everything we like to do. Only 1 block from the Malecon, we walked every morning downtown to either buy shrimp or vegetables for our fresh salsa, and of course a daily stop at our favorite Tortillaria for our fresh daily short stack. Although there were only two of us, this home would be fantastic for large family vacation.

If you're planning a vacation to Mexico, we highly recommend Mazatlan and this vacation home. The weather is awesome, the people are friendly and the owner is very accommodating.

PROs:The pictures do not do this place justice. It is massive and well appointed, very clean and well maintained. Every detail and extra is the kitchen. The local support spoke excellent English and gave a very helpful tour of the place. The views are breath taking. The sunsets reminded us of Hawaii. We ate on the patio and watched the cliff divers. WOW. This is a half block off the main ocean front drag and there is almost always a cab/bus down by the cliff divers. Every cab driver in town knows where the cliff divers are. This is on a hill and is a short, steep hike up from the beach front road, Due to my moms knee surgeries and our passion to explore, we rented a car, There are stairs to get you up 3 levels from the street. But mom managed them fine and the 180 degree views of the bay are worth the climb. We have also stayed right on the ocean front street and this place was much quieter. The beds are fabulous and there are lots of pillows. Each of the 3 main bedrooms is a suite with a private bath with showers. The plumbing was as you would expect in the US (which is very rare in Mexico and Central America) You could easily share this place with 3 couples and have tons of room. We did not rent the upstairs 2 extra rooms but everything we experienced was as advertized or better. This place is also close enough to the Market and Plaza for you to walk 10-15 mins at a slow pace. Our experience with the owners found their instructions very detailed and helpful and they were very communicative and responsive and exceeding prompt in their contacts with us. We did not have a single issue and we loved it. We will be repeat guests in this wonderful vacation home.

Cons: We had no cons. However, I would urge caution for anyone who has significant issues with stairs and for families with small children. In the home all the floors are tile and there are a 2 steps between the main LR and the DR/Kitchen, and between the main LR and the Office, and 3-4 between the office and the BR area. These are designed to give you great views from the house, but if your children are small enough to fall often and struggle with steps a bit, this may not be the best fit for you.

We fell in love with this place during our 10 days and you will too. We highly recommend it.

First, the pictures and the videos on VRBO don't do this house justice. It is much larger that you we thought it would be. Also, the views from this house are the amazing - you have a view from almost every room and sitting on the patio reading looking over the Ocean was the best part of my vacation. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, which was important as we like to cook. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linens. The house was walking distance to everything we wanted - restaurants, bars, taco stands, the market, the beach and access to taxi's and pulmonias. The house is located in what appears to be an upscale area of Mazatlan and we felt very safe during our visit. We rented a car, which we never hardly used, and left it parked outside the entire stay. We would walk home late at night and always felt safe.

The owners communicated with us from the start of our trip to the end. They made sure we had complete information about the house and made sure we had access to them and their property manager if we had any questions. They have a Magic Jack in the house that allowed us to stay in touch with our work and family in the States at no cost to us. They had two wireless routers in the house with high speed internet,which made it very nice for our family to use our wireless devices. The property manager Sofia, welcomed us and even set up day trips for us. She set up a fishing trip, a trip to Stone Island and Zip lining for us, with the tour operators picking us right at the house. She left us a Mexican cell phone so we could call her at any time. Sofia is also a wonderful massage therapist and did massages for us right at the house. We miss her already.

We have already booked our return for next year and can't wait to get back. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
