SUITE ON THE BEACH, SERENE, PRIVATE, JEEP

My husband and I just spent our honeymoon at Villa Esencia for one week. We were there with 3 other families (two with small kids) and this place catered to both couples and families without being too much for either. I kept noticing how the set up was perfect for the other guests and their kids (toddlers and teenagers) and how my husband and I loved how secluded it felt (compared to a resort on Grace Bay). We tend to stray away from the crowds so Long Bay Beach was perfect for us where there was never more than 10 people on the beach. We rented a car and experienced the whole island with ease. I highly recommend this place. I wanted to keep this place a secret but really appreciate the owners attention and service during the entire stay so I had to let others know how great a place this is. I hope to visit again soon.

Comment on Esencia in Turks and Caicos
Well, after staying with Kabir and Ritama in mid-November, the only thing I
can say is, " If there is a kite boarding heaven, this must be it!". As an
aging kite boarder at 62 I must say that this is the ideal place to hone
one's skills. I only wish that I had known about Long Bay in
Providencialis when I was learning. In fact, I'm so enthralled with the
place that I'm taking my sons down in Jan 2012 so they can learn in this
wonderful environment. Warm water, beautiful sand, four miles of uncrowded
beach and Esencia located, ideally, right in the middle of it all.
My kite boarding friend and I were put onto Esencia by a fellow kiteboarder
who had discovered it some time ago and he couldn't say enough about it and
so we gave it a try.

Ritama and Kabir have done a great job of designing and building suites that
are comfortable, clean, well equipped in the kitchens and very private. My
friend and I stayed in a two bedroom suite that was located at beach level.
There was a totally shaded terrace with lounge furniture and a barbecue
outside the suite and we could walk about twenty feet and be on the beach.
There is a cabana on the beach that provides shade from the sun and it is
truly a magical place to sit and watch the sunset. Each of the bedrooms has
it's own bathroom/shower and with either the ceiling fan or air conditioning
going it was very comfortable, even during the hot evenings. Although there
is a small pool and a hot tub available we never seemed to have enough time
to enjoy them. Next time for sure!

Although I've tried to reform him, my friend is tied to his business and
during non-kiting times was able to do some business with his laptop while
on WiFi. I'm going to keep working on him to leave the laptop at home!

I'm not sure if this is the case for each of the rental units, but ours had
a vehicle included which was, of course, very convenient and a money saver.

Kabir and Ritama are both avid kite boarders and so understand the needs of
fellow enthusiasts. They have hooked up a compressor that runs right to the
edge of the beach and makes inflation of the kites dead simple. And, wow,
what a great rig the self launching device is! Brilliant! I should also
mention that K and R are very generous when it comes to lending out their
equipment. The use of Kabir's "big board" kept me off the beach on two days
running as I'd have been high and dry with my smaller board.

Dear Ritama & Kabir,

Thank you for letting us experience what you choose to live everyday! We had the most amazing time and I really can’t think of anything better that would have honored our 50th birthdays. The accommodations were perfect and top notch quality. There just wasn’t anything more we could have asked for. The Jeep was a definite bonus and we appreciated it every day.

Every morning began with coffee in our private tiki hut, followed by a day at the beach, which were literally steps from our place. We loved that we didn’t have to compete with other visitors for good beach spots, lounge chairs or umbrellas. It was all right there for us. This was probably as close to an all inclusive destination without paying the steep price for it. I think the Provo ponies and their patrons were literally the most people we ever saw on the beach. We especially enjoyed watching you, Kabir and our newly made friends Beth & Maj kiteboarding in the beautiful waters of Long Bay. Next time I will definitely make arrangements for lessons. I really missed out on that adventure. Steve and Todd loved scuba diving with Big Blue. Both said they were a top notch outfit. We all enjoyed our Mangrove Kayaking trip with them as well. Cool group of people. We only ate dinner in our place twice. We were thankful we had that option though, but every meal out was delicious and affordable. We tried a new place each evening. So, why cook in when you have all the comforts of good food and good service. Conch is now my new favorite!

I cannot express how amazingly relaxed we all were after only hours there. The beautiful, calm tranquility of the beach and the inviting welcome to Villa Esencia made it very special and we all have agreed we will be back next year. Turks & Caicos is a must see and you and Kabir were incredibly gracious hosts, never intrusive but always available. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a wonderful experience.
