THE 'HOBLET' CABIN, 14 MIN. TO THE FALLS,IN A NATURE SETTING

We so enjoyed our stay at the Hoblet. Petra is an amazing host and gave us such good advice regarding sightseeing. We loved the animals, especially Cuddles. If we are in Niagara again, we will definitely choose the Hoblet.

I needed to be in Canada for a good portion of two months. My company gave me a budget and I began to search. I stumbled upon the Hoblet by chance. Sitting in my Florida home I stared at the pictures in wonder. My first time going to Canada and I was looking at a Cabin in the woods away from anything that I know. Why not just stay in a hotel? Be normal? Be safe?

Normal is what makes the day go by, normal is what blends your mondays, normal is what makes you wake up and say where did the past 5 years go. The Hoblet is one of the most distant places from normal that I have had the privilege of visiting.

Unique -The Cabin itself is stunning. Pulling up for the first time well after the sun was set I was greeted by an array of lights floating throughout the landscape. The bridge to the cabin is your bridge, your entry to your home. The balance of scenery is no accident. Petra and Mush take care in everything that they do. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful. Crafted to give you the degree of privacy that you wish, while having the ability to lessen or strengthen that degree based on your choice.

I will never forget having Cuddles greet me. The way all of the animals began to recognize my car, how they were excited to see me when I pulled in. Feeding them little bits of hay every time I came home and every time that I left. Even if I had my hands filled with bags.I had to stop and spend some time with them.

The Cabin itself is one of the most unique places that I have ever stayed. The exterior gives the feel that it was hand crafted. The Porch is beautiful and even though it steadily was below freezing I found myself out there often. The interior is stunning. Clean, modern and open. Skylights flood the living space with light while the endless glass doors create a feeling of serenity with the outside world. The kitchen was fully functional with all that you would need.

At first (being a native NYC'er) I was nervous. I shut the blinds and listened intently for the hundreds of made up things us city folk imagine about rural areas. It didn't take long for me to keep them open and take in nature.

I could tell you 100 stories and would be more than happy to do so, but this site limits my ability. To sum it all up, I entered a new country alone without my friends and family and ended up leaving with a new family and a sanctuary filled with friends. Break away from traditional vacation spots and treat yourself to this one of a kind experience

I stayed 3 nights at the Hoblet. It was better than expected. We had bbq party and campfire. My kids enjoyed feeding donkey, goats, pigs and horses. They liked the Hoblet rather than Niagara Falls.
