Our cabin is nestled in the middle of 9 private acres; has a 400 yd trail down to a quiet Lake James cove; is less than 2 mls to public boat launch; and is surrounded by dozens of acres of community walking trails. Plenty of parking on property for boat/jetskis. Public marina with boat/jetski rental or slip rental nearby. Kayak and canoe provided.

Our cabin at Lake James is perfectly situated in the middle of a lush forest on 9+ private acres. The cabin offers our guests the rare opportunity to make yourselves at home on one of the cleanest mountain lakes in the southeast United States. There is a very prominent water feature with a stone waterfall and in-ground spa directly behind the house and in plain view from most rooms. Meander up the back path to a view of the mountains, water, sunset, and sunrise from the adjacent lot. Walk down a path through the forest to the other edge of the property and step into a quiet cove. Adjacent to the property, you will find acres and acres of hiking trails that meander through the forest and by the lake's edge.
Inside the cabin, there are 3 bedrooms (2 queen, 1 double) and 2 baths. Additionally, you will find a sleeper sofa, a daybed, and a very large window seat with a very thick cushion. The cabin is very handicap friendly ranch plan with a very gently sloping sidewalk around to the back door (on the same level as house); a wide hallway; wide doorways; hardwood floors throughout (with the exception of a washable river rock floor in one bath); and a wheelchair friendly master bathroom with open rimless (European style) shower, handicap grab bars, wall mounted sinks, lever faucet handles, and elevated toilet in master bath.

NOTE: Tenant has exclusive use of private spa on the property (for use by people at our home only). Tenant can access multiple Public Boat Launches on Lake James; however, Community Pool/Clubhouse/Boat-slips are for use only by Community Owners. Two public boat ramps nearby, Hidden Cove and Canal Bridge, offer access to Lake James where power boats, sailboats and smaller craft have ample room to enjoy the water. Both boat ramps are located along NC 126 within two miles east of the entrance. Marinas with rentals and slips nearby.
