Fantastic Trip Extension
We lodged for just a few days to extend a week-long vacation on the other side of the island. This was our first booking in Cruz Bay, and there's much to be said for staying in town. Selecting the location of this resort was a no-brainer. The condo unit was perfectly clean, and nicely appointed. We chose this unit's location over the owner's waterfront unit for the elevated view, and that did not disappoint. The balcony was great. Only wish that the construction project right next door hadn't been in going on in full force. For our particular stay, the hammer-drills and saws were very active. Perhaps during someone else's, the project will be in a lull.
Hey, St. John is being developed. That's why we had the good fortune to stay in this nice, nearly new condo. The project next door will soon end, and another (certainly farther away) is bound to begin. We've been traveling to this island for over twenty years. Each year there are new projects. Get out to a beach, hike, or shop. That's what we did, and that's the beauty of staying in Cruz Bay. Everything is so convenient! During our stay the workers called it a day by the middle of the afternoon, and balcony seating was then possible. Best place for a cocktail!
We were not there long enough to make use of the resort's amenities...maybe next time. We definitely plan to split future St. John trip itineraries this way, again...perhaps tacking on a couple more days in town. We've already recommended the unit to friends.
