Fabulous for a family. We will be back!

  • 5 of 5

We have two young toddlers and having the "stuff" to manage kids safely is important to us. The gate to keep our one year old from climbing the stairs was easy to use and worked perfectly. The high chair was of high quality as was the pack n play. Kids loved the puzzles the duplo Lego sets.

We have rented many homes in the past and this one gets an A+ for cleanliness and quality. Hooray for soft towels, enough dish towels, sharp knives in the kitchen and having everything work.

The location of this home is stellar. We enjoyed the lily pad lake trail and the waterfall trail...just minutes away.

Jeff was so easy to work with. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back. Next time we are going to stay longer. We were sad to leave.

Great 3 bedroom condo in Summit County

  • 5 of 5

This condo is the best equipped that I have ever rented. The kitchen has everything!! The TV/entertainment center is loaded with options. Very clean, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Very convenient location. In unit washer/dryer comes in handy. The owner, Jeff, was very helpful and accessible. He stopped by to welcome us the day we arrived.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Jeff for being so attentive and demonstrating a genuine concern for us during our stay. The house was just as described and was perfect for our group of 6. Having two parking spots was awesome and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Check out was a breeze. We'll be back!

Great find!

  • 5 of 5

We just stayed here this past weekend. We have been trying to find a place for the last 3 years that works. My husband is a paraplegic but can walk with canes - but very labored and needs assistance. Whenever we go to CO it is hard to find any place to stay that is accessible for him, as stairs are nearly impossible. This was the first time we have found a place that worked for him! They have hand rails out front - a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor and safety bars in the bathroom. While a wheelchair would be hard to move around (bathroom doors too narrow to fit in) - for someone with ability to walk around a bit - even if labored or balance challenged - it was the best we have found yet. Thanks guys - we had a great trip!

Good location-some basics missing

  • 3 of 5

We like this town for its location and proximity to several ski resorts.

The outside/uncovered parking was shoveled upon arrival and their pre-entry is a great asset to the house where snow-shoes, boots, and ski gear can be left enclosed and protected. We didn't realize that the house only has ONE TV, which wasn't ideal for us (adults and children) therefore another TV on any of the "enclosed" bedrooms would've been great for the end of day. The bedroom upstairs is open, like a big balcony, to the main living rm downstairs. This area tended to get really hot with the fire place on and it didn't have much privacy if the only TV was on. The stairs have the cabin feeling and not a quite/silent feature. Few days upon arrival I called to make sure they were well stocked on the basics, Jeff assured me on the things we needed-a few basics were needed and a few trips to the store had to be made: A general cleaner WAS needed for counters and as daily use. The cleaning person missed to clean the dirty white kitchen covers/cabinets and pantry door (I had to clean all the finger prints prior to any use-disappointing with the cleaning fee). A small roll of papers towels was only provided; no napkins and no extras. At night, again another basic was missed which I called to make sure they had: shampoo/conditioner-so another trip had to be made (while traveling nobody likes to carry ALL you may need and any provided would've worked).

Other parts of the property were clean, the beds were comfortable and the sheets seemed new and clean. The kitchen has lots of herbs, BUT no cooking oil of any kind is provided. The kitchen was not well stock-maybe it was all cleaned out or taken out when we rented.

Owners missed in provide basics such as: cooking oil/olive oil or similar; a pizza cutter; soaps; paper towels, napkins, general cleaning spray for counters (these are inexpensive or at least vinegar would be great). An extra TV in a 3-bed home would be a great.

We have stayed in several homes this area and a few basics come a long way because other than food, travelers don't want to carry their own oil, shampoo or cleaning supplies.

This home is more the cabin-Colorado-mountain feeling, located in a quite area.

We love Silverthorne for all it has to offer and so close to Denver makes it ideal for activities throughout the year.

Owner's Response: Thanks to this guest for the valuable feedback! Please read our other reviews to get a balanced assessment. We wish this guest would have contacted us during the stay - there were 4 bottles of 409 general purpose cleaner and 500 napkins available on top shelves. We do not have a pizza cutter as they are very sharp and often get thrown into a kitchen drawer - a real danger for the little hands of toddlers (some of our most valued guests!) We do not keep food items left by prior guests in order to maintain the cleanest possible food preparation environment.

Wonderful Mountain Home

I was so impressed by the quality of this home! It was perfect for our group and truly felt like a home away from home. The house was cozy and clean! The quality of the furnishings exceeded my expectations and shows the level of care that the owners have taken to ensure a comfortable stay! The booking was easy and Jeff was very welcoming and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again!
