Perfect getaway 5BR home located 1/4 mile walk/bike ride to beautiful South Beach and 1.5 miles from downtown Edgartown. Beautifully decorated spacious contemporary home offers 2nd floor living areas boasting cathedral ceilings and open dining area, family room, kitchen and TV room/den. Three sliding glass doors open to a large private south facing deck which has a stairway to the exciting Rooftop Widow's Walk deck which is great for watching sunsets and star gazing. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave and thirty feet of counter space. TV room/den includes large flat-screen TV with DVD/VCR Family room has a large TV with DVD/VCR, First floor has four bedrooms & 1 bedroom upstairs. Master BR w/queen size bed and private bath, another with a queen size bed and two bedrooms with full size beds that share an additional full bath. House is fully equipped and offers washer/dryer, free unlimited U.S. calling & Wireless internet.

Hello there,

My family and I have been coming to the Vineyard since I was 10 years old when my parents first built the house. We know all the fun things to do on the island and love to share that information with our renters and prospective renters. We've taken over rental business and have made many improvements every year that I think you will really like. This year we've added hardwood floors on the 2nd floor and painted 1st floor hallway and the entire second floor walls and ceiling which looks bright and fresh. We know you'll enjoy your visit. This is a wonderful contemporary home located in Katama a short distance from South Beach. Unlike many homes, the living space (Kitchen, living room, dining room, and dan) are all located on the 2nd floor. House is unique because it has two decks-one off the 2nd floor and one rooftop deck.

Great bike paths which will take you to nearby South Beach (1/2 mile) or downtown (1.5 miles). Near Katama Airport where you can take bi-plane rides and tour the island from the sky if you dare. Walk to Right Fork restaurant at the Katama Airfield for a delicious breakfast or just sit on the balcony, read a book. South Beach is the best beach on the island and has plenty of parking, changing rooms, sand dunes and surf. Great surf fishing off South Beach. Also can charter fishing downtown. Tons of bluefish and stripers from spring to fall for those who love to fish like me.

Great house for a large family gathering

We had a family reunion with children of all ages and this house was great thanks to its multitude of compartmentalized spaces. The bedroom count, extra TV room and rooftop deck allowed everyone in our group to find a place to sit and relax. We could gather in the main space or on the deck for family dinners and then as our little ones (5 & 6 yrs old) went off to bed, there were plenty of spaces for adults and teenagers to find some privacy to read a book, watch a movie, or chat under the stars on the roof deck. The widows walk roof deck is unique on this home and really became a favorite gathering space for the adults.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Wonderful Vacation Home Near South Beach

My wife and I have recently taken over the rental of this wonderful 5 bedroom home. We've made many improvements to the home which is nicely located near South Beach in the Katama area. The house is very spacious and comfortable. We happen to love that the living space is all on the 2nd floor with a large 2nd floor deck and a really fun 3rd floor roof top deck. We always enjoy going up to the top deck at night for a drink and to look at the stars. The sky is so beautiful. House is fully equipped. Hope to see you this year!!
