Guestbook comments from the owner
After flying all night to Puerto Rico it was indeed welcoming to meet Alberto on his wonderful property early in the sunny morning with wonderful views of the beaches and ocean below. He took the time to show us around and explain everything in the informational booklet that he had prepared. It was clear that he would do everything possible to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves. He even delivered a lost earring to us after we had already checked out at the end of our stay.
We shy away from the resorts since they never give the true picture of where you are for our daughter of 14 and son of 11. This property was great since it had wonderful views during the day and we fell asleep to the sounds of ocean waves and chirping frogs at night. The main attraction of this home is the large porch where you do most of your cooking and eating with a perfect view of everything. There is even an outdoor shower that is especially nice after returning from the beach.
We visited six different beaches in PR but I must say that the beach down the hill from Alberto’s was our favorite! One side stretches a mile long where I would harvest a coconut every morning. At the extreme end that is jungle, sand and rocks. Although this beach is covered with excellent sand, the waters edge is rock so it was not a swimming beach for us; just an excellent walking beach that we had totally to ourselves. The smaller beach was the swimming beach with excellent snorkeling using the snorkeling gear that Alberto provided. There is plenty of sunny sand but also the shade of the coconut trees. This beach was never crowded and had a nice mix of a few tourists (like ourselves) and locals.
I won’t try to describe other things in the area that we enjoyed but there is plenty to see and do. We will always remember our stay at Alberto’s house!
