SPECTACULAR RETREAT ON THE HOLY WATERS OF THE AU SABLE RIVER

We were very pleased with our recent stay at the cabin. It was very secluded and private. The cabin was clean and well maintained. It was centrally located in the heart of northern michigan and very close to numerous state park hiking and biking trails.

My wife and I used the cabin for our honeymoon. It is a beautiful location and the cabin is amazing. It has 1 master bedroom that is quite large and 2 smaller bedrooms both with bunk beds. 2 nice days beds in the giant livingroom/dining room combo. A big comfortable couch and 2 other nice chairs plus a rocking chair in the bedroom. It was very well decorated and had all the amenities i could have wanted. Very cozy with the fireplace, we made a fire everyday and they have a huge stack of firewood for your use which is nice. The river is right there off the huge yard. There is a huge expanse of area around the cabin that is part of the property. I never saw anyone in the area although there are some other cabins somewhat in the vicinity. Very private for a romantic getaway, but also a good dose of nature and good accommodations for a family. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Its only about a 10 minute drive to get to downtown grayling where there are little shops and restaurants. We are already making plans to go back again! I do not think you could find a better value dollar for dollar anywhere. Really beautiful and the cabin is spacious and well done.

We just returned from a week's stay at the cabin. It is as depicted, well equipped and clean. The river is just a few steps away and the wildlife abounds. We had a doe and her two fawns on the lawn each morning with a few others as well. While sitting inside on a rainy morning, saw our first bald eagle flying over the river...quite a sight!

The beds were extremely comfortable and I actually slept better there than at home. As mentioned in a few other reviews, there is no cable or internet so note that if those things are important to you. We didn't miss it really. My husband went into town for his internet fix at Thanks a Latte.

We did miss having a pot large enough for ear corn so we went and bought one. We left it there so others after us will have one available.

The sheets and towels were top notch and the furnishing comfortable. There is a charcoal grill and outside table and chairs which were a nice perk as well.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who would like a peaceful cabin to relax and rewind.
