We, the family Kirchler, live and work on our farm near the Kronplatz, in South Tyrol.

The sunny location on the edge of the woods invites young and old guest to relax and stay awhile.

In the winter time the snow covered landscape offers skiing and cross country skiing, sledging and skating or even swimming, all in close vicinity (about 2 km)to our farm. Numerous hiking and cycle trails can be explored when spring and summer arrive.

All of our apartments have one or two bedrooms, a living space (dining table, sofa bed and flatsceen TV), a kitchen (crockery, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, coffeemaker), a bathroom (shower, toilet, hair dryer), a balcony, a safe, bedclothes and towels.

Around the house there is plenty of space for the children, a playground, a table tennis, a little swimming pool for sunny and a play room for wet days. Kids are welcome to fed the animals, milk and eggs are available if they are hardworking. Barbecue, deckchairs, cycles and WLAN are at your disposal

St. Lorenezn and the surroundings: Our location is an ideal starting point for excursions into the green valleys and nature parks, to romantic mountain lakes, castles and museums. St. Lorenzen is located in a large residential area - the junction of the Gadertal in the south makes for a 'small gate' into the Dolomites. An archaeological nature trail brings visitors to important historic ruins. For entertainment, there are summer festivals, concerts, Tirol nights, education mountain hikes or rides through the beautiful cross country skiing area during the winter. Try Southern Tirol and Italian cuisine in one of the many local restaurants. Those who like to swim can go to the Issinger pond (6 km) or to the public swimming pool (4 km) and the smaller guests can enjoy a kiddies’ pool (2x3 m); new opening of the indoor pool is at the end of 2005 (2 km). Do not miss a visit to the city in our picturesque, historic small city of Bruneck.

The apartment has a balcony facing the east and South. Bed sheets, towels and dish rags are present and can be changed as needed.

Die Angaben im Online-Inserat wurden zumindest bestätigt, wenn nicht sogar übertroffen!
Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, zweckmäßig und gut eingerichtet (viel Stauraum, gut eingerichtete Küche, die Betten auch für rückengeschädigte geeignet etc.)
Beeindruckend für uns als Städter war die Ruhe/Stille auf dem Hof. Lediglich die vorhanden Tiere waren zu gelegentlich hören, ganz anders als die gewohnten Geräusche in der Stadt.
So konnten wir die Aussicht auf den Kronplatz, den Haidenberg und anderen Blickfängen insbesondere nach unseren Unternehmungen genießen und dabei auf dem Balkon entspannen.

Die Eheleute Kirchler waren ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend; der Bestellservice für Brot und Brötchen funktionierte tadellos.
Besonders gefallen hat es meiner Frau und mir, dass wir Kräuter aus dem Garten, der von Frau Kirchler liebevoll gepflegt wurde, verwenden konnten. Ebenso wie die erhalten Eier waren die Produkte des Hofes "Bio" in Reinkultur.
Weiter gab es gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Brunneck.

Eine Fülle von Sehenswürdigkeiten ließen zu keiner Zeit Langeweile aufkommen. Zu nennen wären als herausragende Unternehmungen der Rundgang um den Pragser Wildsee, das ladinisches Museum in San Martino, der Aufstieg zum Kronplatz oder zum Gasthof Haidenberg. Auch das Ahrntal ist eine Wanderung wert.
Für motorradbegeisterte Gäste ist Südtirol ein Eldorado von kurvenreichen Straßen und Kehren in Mengen. Durchs Gadertal zum Grödnerpass, Sella Rondo, Pordoipass, Falzaregopass, Val Porolapass und wieder im Gadertal ankommen; nur etwa 90 km fahren und soviel Pässe, ein Traum!

Abschließend ist festzustellen, dass wir mit Unterkunft, Ausstattung und Freizeitmöglichkeiten absolut zufrieden waren und eine Wiederholung des Urlaubs für 2015 planen. Denn es gibt noch eine Menge zu entdecken.

Und ja, es gibt im nahe gelegene Städtchen Brunneck eine Menge Restaurants, in denen es sich sehr gut Essen lässt. Insbesondere ist das Hotel Corso und das Hotel Zur Krone zu erwähnen.

Allen unseren Freunden und Bekannten würden wir den Bauernhof weiter empfehlen.

When you leave the highway to by Brixen and enter into Pustertal, you will reach the city of Bruneck after about 30 km. St. Lorenzen is about 2km away from Bruneck and has many villages and hamlets. One of them is Stefansdorf - 910 m above the sea and with 400 residents. You can reach Stefansdorf by leaving the main street (Exit Bruneck West) and then drive about 2 km towards Stefansdorf or Kronplatz. At the entrance to the city you will see a sign 'App. Mauerhof' on the left side of the street.

Ski: Kronplatz, 2275 m above sea level, is one of the most modern ski regions in Tirol. Winter sports enthusiasts will be pampered with 14 gondola cars, 5 seat cars, 3 chair lifts and 3 ski lifts. All together there is 50,000 m of well prepared slopes in all degrees of difficulty - all available for skiers and snow boarders. You can descend into the valley from three sides: from the northern side are the challenging descents to Reischach, to the East are the stunning wide slopes to Olang and in the West is the sunny decent towards St. Vigil.

The Valley Station where you can reach lifts to Kronplatz is 1.5 km from our house. A toboggan run is located by our village. There are places for ice skating in Reischach and St. Lorenzen or the ice arena in Bruneck and cross country skiing in the sport zone of Reischach (2 km).
