BEST DEAL ON MAUI! TROPICAL STUDIO $60/NIGHT

Haiku Studio Rental Photos and Description

Studio, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

If you want the real experience of living in Hawaii, far from the crowded tourist Mecca's then this is the spot for you! A beautiful piece of lushly landscaped land in the tropical rainforest, this property is bordered by wooded gulches on both sides and out the back yard there is not a sign of civilization straight to the soaring crest of Haleakala Volcano.

Peaceful, quiet and private, this North Shore paradise is convenient for windsurfers, surfers, stand up paddlers and adventurers of all ages. We are close to the world famous windsurf/surf spot Ho`okipa, mere miles from Jaws (which is one of the worlds largest waves and a true sight to behold when it breaks in the winter time) and Maliko Gulch, launching point of downwind SUP enthusiasts.

If you crave the tourist experience a day trip to Kihei (45 mins), Wailea (1 hour) or Lahaina (1 hour) will satisfy you and then you return to your Quiet, verdant lodgings. The property is at 1100 ft elevation so it cools off into the 60's or low 70's at night, a refreshing change after a day in the 80's!

Shower in privacy under the stars and the 120ft Eucalyptus trees! A true Island experience, a memory to last forever.

A bit of paradise!

  • 4 of 5
My friend and I stayed here after camping on Molokai for a week. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a washer and dryer available for use which was also very nice. You should be the adventurous type because the shower is outside. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for a small studio. The futon needs a new mattress as it is fairy uncomfortable even for sitting on but other than that I would gladly stay here again!

Home Sweet Home

My beautiful Maui home. I love this home. A perfect Maui home. Early to bed and early to rise. This studio is a home away from home, quite, beautiful bird song in the morning and starlight through the sliding glass door at night. I recommend this home for a truly wonderful Aloha visit to Maui. Blessed by the rain and kissed by the sun, close to Ho'okipa, magic and fun! A five star Mahalo Maui! Listing was accurate, clean, and the owners were helpful. Tuk Tuk was my favorite restaurant. The bed is so comfy and dreamtime came softly and sweetly.

Clean and convenient, but that's it.

You get what you pay for. It is clean, and it is not too far from the major sites of Maui. It's a good place to stay to save money. But it's only got a quarter of a bathroom (no bathroom sink, have to brush your teeth in the kitchen sink - weird!). The unit is attached to the owners house, and next to their garage, so you'll hear their walking, creaking floor, and driving in and out - their not unreasonably loud; you're just very close. There's not much to cook with, but it's got a good refrigerator so you can have breakfast and save some left-overs. The outside shower is hot, but not super-nice - discolored, bare concrete, the wooden doors you enter don't have a latch or way to secure them shut, and stuff is rusting. Mattresses are lumpy. If you need the futon, you've basically killed the lounge area in front of the tv. We pretty much stayed out every night because there's nothing to do in the studio. The cable works. The plywood floors are kind of weird too. Bottom line - it was a good place to save money, but not desirable place to spend our evenings.

Quiet, tropical true Rest and Renew place

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this great little place the first two weeks of January 2014. Bonny was very accomodating with our reservation and basically her and her husband were hardly seen! When we had questions, they were incredibly helpful to give suggestions and help, but other than that, it's as if we had the entire place to ourselves! though this is in upcountry, it was a short drive to ALL the beaches, national parks, attractions, shopping, groceries, etc. We had a rental car (economy) and put on almost a thousand miles over the two weeks, and didn't spend much in gas. This place was quiet (reading, rest, palm trees outside, sun shine) and close enough where you could get anywhere fast! Super close to Makawao (best malasadas in all of Maui), Not far from Pa'ia (cool little surfer town, great shopping, great restaurants and Mana Foods is the best organic grocery on Maui), and close to Ho'okipa beach (if the sun is shining, there will be droves, DROVES of surfers out-not too mention all the sea turtles on the beach) and this is all within 15 minutes of this great little apartment.

Quiet and away from it all.

  • 3 of 5
Our stay at was very peaceful and quite. The bed and outdoor shower were great. The studio was as shown on VRBO. A couple of concerns were our refrigerator would not make ice and the only cooking device was a frying pan with a broken handle. At times, the owners seemed put off by our request to remedy the issues. If you are looking to spend time in West Maui plan on 45 minutes to one hour travel time each way. Overall, OK place to stay.

We've stay at this peaceful studio for 25 days... Our trip was amazing! The hospitality of the owners, the nature with all the animals on the land and of course the outside shower were so nice! The sky at night with so many stars... Wow!
Thank again Bonnie and Ian
