We spent a delightful summer week at this large , comfortable and very well equipped house on the Birchwood Golf and Country Club, near Harbor Springs, Michigan. This property has full accommodation on both of two floors and could easily accommodate one large or two average families.
If you like peace and quiet you will never find a quieter and more peaceful spot than this house, nestling in the woods, well away from other dwellings and with regular glimpses of deer, chipmunk and squirrels (and an occasional humming bird during our summer stay) from the windows or deck of the property.
The excellent facilities of the Clubhouse, its restaurants, tennis, swimming pool and golf course are available for those who wish it and are only a two minute drive away.
Harbor Springs is a delightful scenic boating haven just a few minutes away, with plenty of both interest and general purpose shopping and eating available.
This is also an excellent jumping off point to tour this scenic region and to visit the Wilderness State Park, Macinaw City, the famous Macinac Bridge and the very attractive and interesting Macinac Island, only a short boat trip away. Local towns of interest such as Petoskey, Charlevoix are close by and for skiers in the winter Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob are also very close.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this interesting house and location and would very much wish to repeat it in the future.
