Creatively set on four acres of landscaped grounds, on the Caribbean Sea, Valency House offers its guests a private get away with magnificent views and a very private beach. Terracotta tiled floors, decorative iron work grills, large sliding glass doors and stone terraces open up to 180 degree views of the sea and the city of St. Georges. Relax on the terraces and watch the cruise and sailing ships enter port, wander the landscaped grounds or take the private stairway to Pink Gin beach.

swimming and snorkeling: Pink Gin beach is a small, secluded beach accessed by a private stairway from the house. It offers excellent sun bathing, swimming and snorkeling. Although all beached in Grenada are public and have public access, Pink Gin is quiet with only collisional visitors. Magazine beach is bordered by the Rex Grenadien hotel and Aquarium Restaurant/Macabana resort. It is a short walk from the house. Magazine beach is excellent for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling and has more visitors.

Dining: The St. Georges area has many excellent restaurants. The Aquarium Restaurant is within easy walking distance of the house. It is known for it's seaside dining room and Sunday barbeque. The Beach House restaurant , famous for its fine dining and seaside ambiance is a short drive. Many restaurants offer pick-up service which can be arranged when reserving a table.

Island tours: Grenada offers many unique sites for tourists. Island tours can be arranged by tour guides or venture off in a rental car. The city of St. Georges with its 18th century architecture is rich with markets and bustle. Home to many animal and bird species, the Grande Etange Nature preserve and rain forest offers mountain hikes to waterfalls and scenic vistas of the central mountain range. The northern parishes house secluded beaches and rural living. Visit the La Sagesse nature center for a relaxing day on an eastern bay. All are within an easy drive from the house.

Beautiful and secluded

My husband and I spent a wonderful ten days at Valency House in March
2013. Valency House was the perfect tropical paradise. It overlooks the
Caribbean Sea and has easy access to beautiful Pink Gin Beach. The
parttime housekeeper and her brother, the gardener, were courteous and
very helpful. There are convenient close-by world-class restaurants and
attractions. There is easy access to the airport and St George's.
Valency House's large porch, kitchen, huge well decorated dining room, and
bedrooms were clean and well laid-out. We could not have asked for a
better place for our vacation stay in Grenada.
The owners were great. They gave us tips on places to eat and things to see. They called twice to see how we were doing and left food for us so we had something to eat before we went to the grocery store.
