With an Achensee card you can keep re-visiting all the local facilities during its 7-day validity. Running training at Achensee: Achensee running area, with around 179 km of well-signposted tracks and 26 tracks in all in all grades of difficulty is the perfect place to don your running shoes with your team. All the sports shops advertise running training – why not join in? Bicycle groups – or bike tours: for lots of fun this holiday district has around 180 km cycle and mountain bike tracks in all, and the ‘Via Bavarica Tyrolensis’ from Munich to Verona runs past the Achensee.
Ski:
Achensee ski region 930. 1870 m, snow safe from December till April. 1 cabin cable railway, 1 group detour slope, 6 chairlifts, 21 heavy duty lifts, 50 km of slopes. The ski schools teach classical skiing, snowboarding, carving, deep snow coursing and ski tours. The ***** distance skiing region of Achensee possesses one of the biggest, best maintained cross-country ski runs in Austria. Cross-country Seal of Approval. 150 km of cross-country runs are at your disposal. All your ski gear is available for hire. 8 km of toboggan run, partially illuminated at night. Natural ice rinks – ice skating tracks – horse-drawn sleigh rides – winter walking – winter horse riding.
Golf:
3 km away from the ‘Achensee apartments’ is ‘Golf Fascination’, the nicest golf site at the foot of the Karwendel. Achensee golf and country club is the oldest golf club in Tyrol, founded in 1934. It was completely overhauled in 1995 and in 2003 expanded to an 18–hole course. The greens and tees harmonise with the structure of the countryside and landscape. The driving range, covered on both sides, with lovely view of the Achensee, invites you to have a go. 18 holes, par 71 gentlemen 6105 m and 5948 m, ladies 5295 m and 5152 m. Player’s fees for 1 weekday €55, for 1 day at the weekend €60, golf tuition for 30 minutes €22. Guest tournaments every Thursday.
