There is a small open air hut near the beach which is perfect for an afternoon massage (table provided, bring your own oils) After a day at the beach, or at night, the gazebo is a perfect place to unwind or just lay back and marvel at how many stars are in
the sky.
This is your secluded oasis in paradise. Swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing, beach-combing, shelling or just bathing in the sun are only a few steps down a garden path.
You can see every star in the sky on a moonless night or read a book under the light of a full moon. You may come to believe you're on a deserted island, but, within a 15-20 minute drive you'll find fine dining, great 'island' music, the Friday night 'Fish Fry' on the beach and more. Some guests never leave the property, others explore the caves, cliffs and dozens of secluded beaches of Eleuthera.
We love to eat!! Lobster, stone crab, grouper, snapper, lionfish, lamb, goat, chicken souse, cracked conch, fritters, peas 'n' rice and, yes, even filet mignon are available on Eleuthera. If you're eating out there are a variety of Bahamian and trendy 'gourmet' restaurants within a few miles of Serenity. If you're dining in, the kitchen is equipped with everything a chef needs to prepare anything from broiled lobster to sushi, to fondue to a Gran Marnier souffle'.
Staying in? The DVD collection contains over 1000 movies from comedies and 'chick flicks' to action/adventure movies. The CD collection has everything from Mozart to Jerry Lee Lewis (sorry, no hip-hop) as well as the music channels on the direct TV satellite system. There are over 100 books ranging from Bahamian history to romance, mysteries, intrigue, etc.
Going out? Don't miss the 'Beach House' on Thursday, Fish Fry on Friday or 'Tippy's' on Saturday. Stop at the tourist office in Governors Harbour to ask about local festivals called 'Homecomings' or 'Junkanoo' at Christmas and New Years.
