This apartment retains its elegant 'old Paris” atmosphere with original architectural detailing, hardwood floors, and high ceilings. Located on the fifth floor of a mid-19th century building, its spacious and bright over 2,000 square feet have been completely updated. A charming, well-maintained period elevator accesses the apartment. The sitting, dining room and two of the three bedrooms have French doors opening to a long balcony with period wrought iron railing. From the balcony off the sitting room, enjoy superb views, day and night, of the street going up to famous Butte Montmartre and 'Le Sacré-Coeur' basilica.

The master bedroom has a double bed and modern, full en-suite bathroom. There is a second bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with two single beds and another double. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower. A separate powder room with toilet and washbasin is off the hallway.

Nearby attractions: This sophisticated Right Bank address in a high rent area is known for its beautiful nineteenth and early twentieth century buildings. Public parking is available across the street. Once the realm of Paris' Romantic artists and thinkers, this is a convenient location for business people, shoppers, and tourists. The typical 'Baron Haussmann' buildings date back to the renovation of Paris and the opening of the Grands Boulevards.

A short walk to the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores, the Drouot Auction house, Opera Garnier, the apartment is also near numerous restaurants, cafés and specialty shops and markets.

The apartment's location was great! We were in an area with easy access to the Metro 12 which made getting to sites very easy. We were also away from areas frequented by tourists. A small grocery store across the street made getting necessities convenient. We were close enought to Les Galleries Lafayette to get gourmet food items. The apartment afforded everyone breathing room b/c of it's size, especially with 2 1/2 baths. The kitchen really was fully equipped. The view of Sacre Coeur from our balcony was superb. Phone use and internet access was also a plus. If one wants to truly live like a Parisian, this is the apartment to rent.

Great location.

The pros: The management company is awesome and professional. All details are taken care of for your stay, from car service to confirmations to check-in and check-out. The view and location are fantastic and our stay was extremely enjoyable. The sense of security and the large dining room and den are great for evening recaps with the "clan".

The cons: For the money, I expected less personal knickknacks and clutter. The resulting, accumulated dust in the apartment may present a problem for those with allergies.

The subway and Rue de Martyrs are all at hand. Fine dining was all around as were the theaters. If you are looking for a French experience, this is the apartment for you. We would consider staying again.
