The Ironhorse Resort

This one bedroom condo is very charming and comfortable. It is located in the Ski/in ski/out building D. It sleeps 4 people with a large king size bed and Queen size pillow top bed. The condo is very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, all new furniture (leather couch, chair) and bedroom furniture. You can also enjoy the heated swimming pool, new hot-tubs, and a complete fitness center. Room Service is available during skiing season and a onsite restaurant/Bar is here for your convenience. The Iron Horse has a courtesy shuttle for trips into Winter Park for a night out on the town.

About The Owner

I am originally from Michigan. I moved to Colorado 25 years ago to enjoy the mountains and the beauty of Colorado. I consider Ironhorse Resort my great escape to relax and recharge. Some of my favorite past times is skiing/snowmobiling in the winter and ATVing, mountain biking and fishing in the summer. I currently reside in Denver Colorado

Why The Owner chose Winter Park

I chose Winter Park because it is the last "Frontier" in Colorado and only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Denver-making this the most convenient location to enjoy the mountains and solitude. Winter Park is not built up like most of the resorts in Colorado and everyone is very friendly. The base of Winter Park also known as the "Village" is where you can shop, dine, ice skate for the kids and people watch. You can take the Ironhorse transportation, gondola or walk.

What makes this chalet unique

The unique benefits of this condo is being on the top floor/corner unit. It looks out onto the Vazquez Trail This is the main trail that connects Mary Jane to the base of Winter Park. You do not see anything but the trail and the Pines. Truly tranquil.

we visited WP several times the last couple years and stayed at the Iron Horse for two of those visits. I like the property for its location between Mary Jane and Winter Park, its quiet, well kept and has a great indoor/outdoor pool and two hot tubs, plus a gym and saunas in the locker rooms. This unit is in a convenient location for the ski in/out access. It has a nice kitchen and living area with a comfortable pull down bed for the kids. The master is large with a very comfortable king bed and quality bedding. My only negatives are the outdated and tight bath and that you can hear the adjacent elevator in the master.

Located right off the slopes, so easy ski in/out. Condo is well decorated and up to date. Bed in master bedroom is large and murphy bed worked well enough for my 13 and 11 year olds. Parking underground is a plus. Owner responsive and easy to deal with. Highly recommend.

My wife, some friends, and I stayed here for our ski trip to Winter Park. The room was perfect size and in a great location. The Ski-in Ski out was really nice and convenient, and we were just a short distance to the WP Village. There are also shuttles that run until 11:00-11:30 that will take you in to the town as well as the village. The room has everything you need in the kitchen which made it nice not to have to eat out for every meal. This was definitely a great deal for the money. We will be coming back and will try to rent another property from her as it was easy and convenient.

Family Spring Break

This was an awesome find for my family. The location was great, could not have better. This was our first time to Winter Park, and it won't be our last. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed. My teen boys enjoyed the exercise room and my vice daily was the great hottub. It was very clean and the photos were accurate . Jennifer was great and easily accessible if we needed her. Everything, food, shops,etc. were all very close by. I would definitely recommend this property and plan to return again.

We have stayed in Jen's condo the last two winters for our ski getaway. We are going to book again this winter 2012. Jen takes personal care to make sure you have everything you need while you are in her condo--really goes out of her way. Spotlessly clean, extras of everything you may need. You will feel right at home in this comfy condo.
