OCEANFRONT HOME WITH BEACH, POOL, AND HOT TUB!

If you have a family with children, this is THE place to rent!

Helen, the owner, is SO accommodating with everything you'll need! Our youngest was 10 months old when we stayed, and she already had most of the things we needed! Such things included a Pack n' Play, baby gates, monitors, 2 highchairs, and even toys! For our older children, 9-10 years old, there were bikes so that they could ride around the wonderful cul de sac that surrounds the home, enough pool toys to keep them busy for hours, a wonderful jungle gym/swing set, a game room downstairs, and movies, movies, movies!

Helen keeps the grounds around the home, in PRESTINE condition! She also provides a grounds manager, who is on call for anything that may come up and he is VERY nice! The pool & hot tub are in amazing condition as well and kept up! Forget your sunblock or bug spray? Well, Helen has thought of that and provided it for you :) She keeps a wonderful binder of nearby attractions, restaurants and an abundance of Take-Out menus, which you'll need & love since you wont want to leave once you're there!

I'd have to say, my favorite room, is the Ocean front room with the King size bed. The bed is so comfy and fresh linens are provided. You go to sleep listening to the waves and wake up to the seagulls in the distance, waves crashing and you may even see a cruise ship like we did :)

We enjoyed day trips to the Lobster Shack with the FRESHEST seafood, and nice casual inside & outside seating!

We also visited the Portland Head Light, with an amazing gift shop, where we spent way too much money lol, and a wonderful park and family hang out spot!

Seriously, don't look any further! Just call Helen, she's SO sweet and lovely! You will not regret it! We're already planning out next visit!

We have been vacationing with two other families for the past 4 summers (there are 6 adults and 6 young children in our group) and this has been by far our favorite house. We are all very picky about location and cleanliness and this house exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice - the views of the ocean are amazing from almost every room in the house. The house was so open, airy, and comfortable - we could have fit more than 12 people if we needed to. The gardens in the front and back yards are gorgeous and make you feel like you're on an island paradise. We were in the pool daily, walked the beach for sea glass every evening after supper and the adults spent every night sitting on the upper deck relaxing with cocktails under the stars once the kids were in bed.
One day bought the most delicious lobsters and steamers right down the street and cooked them in the ocean water from our own private beach on the outside gas burner. There was a place nearby where we went canoeing and although there aren't any bike trails in the area, the neighborhood was beautiful to ride around. We went to bed every night and woke up every morning to the sounds of the waves from the ocean - the beds are all extremely comfortable and had really nice linens. The house was filled with so many extra items like water shoes and beach towels - there were bikes with helmets also at the house for our use and tons of pool toys - everything you need and then some. The kitchen was well stocked which was important for us as we cooked every meal at the house. We really felt like we were staying at a friend's house and the owner, Helen, made us feel that way - she was so friendly and welcomed us personally at the house to show us around.
Although we pick a different location every year, we all agreed if we ever were to repeat a vacation home, this would be the one.
Thank you again Helen for providing us with such a wonderful home for our vacation - we wish we didn't have to leave!

My husband and I had the opportunity to escape the kids for another short weekend at Maxwell Point House. It felt like a much lengthier break thanks to the exquisite location.

Consider this:
-local Italian take out in front of the (easily ignited) fire;
-a late night movie on the large screen;
-soaking in the hot tub with the stars, snow and whispering surf as an accompaniment;
-more stars and distant boat lights from the master suite;
-waking to the glorious changing vista of an Atlantic sunrise;
-breakfast in the well appointed kitchen;
-bird watching from the attic level (lovely telescope);
-another leisurely soak in the hot tub;

Due to time constraints, we weren't able to trek on the beach but we came away relaxed and refreshed. Everything was clean, easy, comfortable and in excellent working order. We definitely would love to return, maybe with the kids and some extended family during "outdoor pool" season... but maybe it will just be myself and my husband (again) ;)
