Along with its waterfront location and spectacular views, this cozy 1BR condo positively exudes comfort and charm. It was fully renovated and redecorated following a change of ownership in 2011, The result is a compact unit that is bright, airy and inviting - while featuring all the comforts of home.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Situated just above a sandy beach on one side, and a large panoramic pool on the other, the condo is a stone's throw from the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Views are nothing short of spectacular throughout the entire day.

Our guests begin most mornings by enjoying a beautiful sunrise over neighboring St. John. That experience is soon replaced by a stunning 'down island' view of Tortola and the British Virgin Islands for the balance of the day. After sunset on clear nights, guests can relax with a cocktail on our covered balcony while enjoying a captivating view of 'moonlight on the water'.

Previously part of a bungalow-style tropical hotel known for its charm and character, the condo has been gradually returned to that standard by its new owners. Little more than swimwear and a toothbrush are required to enable guests to immediately relax, unwind and simply enjoy the tropical surroundings. It's just what the doctor ordered for a couple seeking a romantic get-away, or a small family hoping for the vacation of a lifetime(our queen size sofa bed can accomodate children or a third adult).

The Point Pleasant Resort itself features a full range of amenities and activities, not the least of which is one popular restaurant and its three beautiful pools (one of which is located just below the condo's balcony). Excellent snorkeling is available literally steps away at Sugar, Coki and Pineapple beaches. Ocean kayaking, wind surfing, day sail charters, parasailing and jet ski rentals are all less than a five-minute walk away. In addition, Point Pleasant's own scenic hiking trail provides either an excellent workout or just a beautiful stroll for those who are interested.

Another 5 - 7 minute stroll will take you to the Island's renowned indoor Coral World facility. There, you can see a broad range of Caribbean marine life. After exiting Coral World, you are only steps away from the white sands and crystal clear waters of Coki Beach. Take a refreshing swim, enjoy excellent snorkeling or, alternatively, just relax and enjoy lunch or refreshments -- all without ever having to move from your lounge chair.

Our professional managers are available 24/7 to assist with any questions or with booking reservations. Some guests are able to fully enjoy their vacation without having their own transportation, but we recommend that you rent a car for at least part of your trip. You will quickly find that it greatly expands your ability to explore the island's many beaches and other beautiful sites -- not only on St. Thomas, but on neighboring St. John as well.

A day trip to St. John is an absolute must for anyone who visits St. Thomas, and inexpensive hourly ferries (in addition to frequent car ferries) enable visitors to greatly enrich their island experience.

Multiple restaurants of all types are a short drive or taxi ride away, and will surely tempt your taste buds. Alternatively, you are welcome to prepare meals in the unit. All necessary utensils are provided, and any provisions you need are available from nearby stores. If you enjoy fresh fish, many local varieties that have only been 'out of the ocean' for only a few hours are widely available - either in local stores, or simply at roadside stands.

About Property Manager

We are a semi-retired couple living in the Georgetown section of Washington, DC. St. Thomas has truly become our 'second home', and we enjoy spending time in either or both of our side-by-side condos here at the beautiful Point Pleasant Resort. Work permitting, we try to spend up to three months a year here (normally spread over 4 trips). We are happy to have you share either or both of our Condos, and we hope you will enjoy them, just as we do.

Most important during your stay is to simply relax and enjoy both our multi-faceted Island and our fantastic year-round weather. Whatever you choose to do with your time here, we strongly encourage you to dedicate at least one day to visiting nearby St. John. It is 3/4 National Park and is both stunningly beautiful and very well kept. At the same time, it is incredibly peaceful. We often tell friends who visit that 'Whatever drop in pace you experience in coming from your home to St. Thomas, you will experience an equivalent drop when you get off the ferry (either car or passenger), in St. John.'

Our second major recommendation is that you spend a day on the water aboard one of the many day-sail charters that are available. All of them are sure to deliver both a relaxing day and a memorable experience. Our personal favorites are Coconut and Daydreamer, both of which are anchored just off the balcony. Fortunately, we are long time friends with the owners, and they never fail to provide a discount to our guests.

Location, location, location - the condo is out of the mainstream on by far the nicest end of the island. We visit a lot ourselves, and we are fortunate enoujgh to own the own the unit next door as well (VRBO #103297). We never cease to be amazed by the unique combination of spectacular views, morning sun, cooling ocean breezes and the seemingly ideal location of our two condos. In addition, for families or friends traveling together, we are very pleased to now be able to provide an opportunity for the entire group to be together in adjoining condos (we even have a door connecting the two patios that remains locked except for such groups - see photo).

Great vacation in Paradise

We had a great time enjoying the island life while staying at this condo. It's a one-bedroom condo, just right for a couple. The kitchen is small, but we made easy meals or went out, so it worked fine for us. It had great views of the ocean. The condo building was at the bottom of the hill making it a short walk to the Panga restaurant down by the ocean or to the lower level pool. We enjoyed the short walk across Pineapple Beach to Coki Beach, where we spent numerous afternoons lounging, snorkeling, and relaxing. The staff at Point Pleasant was very helpful and pleasant. We were able to obtain free snorkel gear for the day at the hotel lobby rather than renting it at the beach. They offered lots of suggestions for whatever we wanted to see, do or eat. The free shuttle service that Point Pleasant offers is a wonderful amenity. We spent way less on taxis and the shuttles than we would have for the car rent. And we didn't have to deal with driving on the left side of the curvy, hilly roads. There is a sahara taxi that drives by the resort every few minutes. It follows a route, which includes Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook and only costs about $2 one way. We did a day trip on the DayDreamer catamaran. Lots of fun! We also took a ferry ride to St. John where we spent a very enjoyable day.

Sooooo Relaxing

Property is in excellent shape ..the view was unbelievable ..the breeze off the bay lulled me to sleep ..My wife and I spent time just siting and admiring the view .... a really short run to any beach .. Coki up the street for some atmosphere Sugar Beach steps away..Red Hook .. down the road for ferry to St.Johns ..Megan's Bay a fun, exciting ride (left side tight curves!!!) and just plain beautiful .. and Pagno's just plain fun right on property .. This is on the calendar for next visit ..you won't be disapointed

The view is spectacular, breathtaking or whatever adjective you would like to use! Sitting on our balcony on the 1st day watching NFL championship football while looking out onto the Beautiful bay. Take Me Now Lord!

Just awesome

My wife and I stayed at this property from Jan 24 to Jan 30, 2014. Superb location and beautiful view; even better than the pics. There is a fantastic restaurant in the ground floor at water's edge. Nice beaches (Coki and Saffire) near by. We also loved the little but charming secluded beach right on the property.

Of course, we loved the view, the food, the beaches. That made our stay so enjoyable. But it would not have been so if not for the help and the extra mile that the Manager, Dionne, went to accommodate us. Due to a snowstorm our flight on the 22nd January got cancelled and we got a flight two days later than our scheduled arrival. Dionne was always there to help us while I was coordinating with the airlines for flight and she was not sure how she would do it but assured us that somehow she will take care of it. Indeed, she did. She had to move us to another unit for the last night of our stay there. We're really thankful for her accommodating us and being always cheerful.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT !!! PERFECT ECONOMICAL PLACE TO STAY

We absolutely loved staying here. The manager, Cara, lives on island and has a Real Estate Company. She answered all of our questions prior to arrival and even helped us plan things to do. It was nice knowing that if there was a problem, there was somebody responsive to deal with it.

This condo has been nicely remodeled and is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, and since we like to cook, this was a huge positive. The bathroom is nicer than what we have at home. Views are awesome, and the location on property couldn't be better. It overlooks the pool and the restaurant, and is the shortest walk to the beach. MUCH BETTER THAN BEING UP ON THE HILL, CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY PEOPLE AT THE RESORT WERE JEALOUS OF US BECAUSE OF WHERE OUR CONDO WAS, WHILE THEY WALKED UP AND DOWN STEEP HILLS!!

We highly recommend this condo, as it is very nice in everyway. Can't imagine that we could have chosen a better option.
