Charming single family home with a beautiful view of man made lake. Heated enclosed pool / patio area. ammenities include central air, flat screen TV with cable and DVD player. Newer Gas grill on patio. Located less than 5 min from Madiera Beach / John's Pass. Great place to vacation with your family. Kids love to feed the wildlife at the lake including turtles, ducks, egrits and other birds. (area is also a bird sanctuary). Sorry, No pets allowed on the property.
This location fit our every whim. We went down with 3 couples, 6 kids, and a grandmother and everyone had somewhere to sleep comfortably. Two of the kids were in pack and play cribs. The pool is awesome and heated, it is also screened in so there are no bugs and the sun doesn't feel too hot through the screens. The house has everything you could need including a fully stocked kitchen, towels and sheets, and a little high-chair for babies. 1.5 hours from Disney and 30 min. from Busch Gardens
This house is great. There are many reviews that do not do it justice. Yes, it is an old house. Yes, it needs some work but for God's sake you're on vacation. You want luxury, you want new features? Go to a hotel! My family and I never needed anything that we couldn't find. Everything is provided for you. A gentleman named Al stopped by to ask if we needed anything and made himself available in case we did. Overall, it was a great vacation. We are already thinking of going back.
This house needs some work . The doorwall to the pool from the one bedroom was broken and couldn't be opened. There was old food in the fridge, dirty clothes in the closets and all sorts of used stuff under the sinks. The blind on the big front window was broken, taped together and we were afraid to close again. There was no curtain in the main bath window and the apartment building behind the home looks right into the window! There was a note on the air to not turn down below 78 degrees. It was hot and very humid in the house, but we were afraid to break it. The home advertises internet, it did not. The pool was the best option at the rental as well as how close it is to everything. The plumbing in the main bathroom was bad, You could only flush the toilet once every half hour as the toilet would not fill up. I contacted whoever I had main contact with regarding the internet as well as the plumbing and never had a response? They were not receptive to the needs of the renters at all.
This house is pretty run down. Floors were very dirty, as was the furniture! In fact we had to cover the sofas before we could sit on. The doorwall to the pool from the one bedroom was broken and couldn't be opened, the doorwall from the kitchen locked us out 2 times! There was old food in the fridge, dirty clothes in the closets and all sorts of used stuff under the sinks. We didn't cook any meals other than easy breakfast and lunches. Any things we used in the kitchen we washed first. The blind on the big front window was broken, taped together and we were afraid to close again. There was no curtain in the main bath window and the apartment building behind the home looks right into the window! The pool is NOT heated! There was a note on the air to not turn down below 78 degrees. It was hot and very humid in the house, but we were afraid to break it. The home advertises internet, which it appeared to have...as long as you bring a cable to plug in, which we did not.
We are not snobby people, old is great as long as it is clean and well maintained, this home it not. I cannot understand the great reviews. The only good thing was the location, easy to get to the beaches. We will not ever trust vrbo.com reviews again.
We were delighted to find this house for a short stay in the Tampa area. It was perfect for us and the owners were very easy to work with for a long weekend stay - nice to find somewhere a week is not the minimum!
We enjoyed the pool and the lake across the street was wonderful for bird watching - and entertaining the 3 year old we came to visit!
When we first arrived at the home we where so excited. The rooms where great and the pool was amazing. The pictures did not do this vacation paradise justice. I loved everything about the home and will be staying again I am sure. The only thing that the home was missing was wifi. It does have an internet connection so staying connected wasn't a problem. This home has everything you need, enough towels and cookware. It has pool toys and a great washer and dryer. If you are debating on choosing this home for your vacation, pick this home. It is close to everything but far enough that it is your own piece of Florida. My family and I loved this home.
We have been renting Gulf front vacation condos for 10 years. This year we decided to try a St. Petersburg inland house for our 6+week winter break to see if we would enjoy the area as much without hearing the surf and viewing the ocean. We’ve been pleasantly surprised. This house is fully equipped, a 10 min walk to the Pinellas Trail, a short ride to the beach in one direction, another short ride to the charming and dynamic downtown St. Petersburg in the other direction. It has a lovely screened in pool/patio, an open interior flow, a front view of the wild life around the lake. In fact, we’ve enjoyed this rental more than most of the other places we tried on the Gulf. Its privacy, roominess, accommodating owners and management staff made it easier to enjoy our stay so much that we hope to continue renting this house for many winters to come. Kindly, Terri & David from Missouri
