MY WIFE AND I PURCHASED THIS HOUSE 15 YEARS AGO AND HAVE ALWAYS RENTED IT WHEN WE OR FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE NOT USED IT. WE ARE BOTH RETIRED FROM EDUCATION AND HAVE BEEN IN THE RENTAL BUSINESS FOR 30 YEARS. IN 15 YEARS WE HAVE NEVER HAD A GROUP THAT HAS NOT LOVED THE PLACE

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • OFF SEASON $225.00 MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHTS
  • Rental Rates are quoted when we discuss the amount of people that will be staying at our house and the time of year. Off season rates are from Sept. 30 through May 1.Off Season minimum of 3 nights--- Seasonal rates: $350 per night with 6night minimum, $325/night for 7 nights for up to 8 people. For groups with more than 8 people call for rates. Call for Holiday rates. Security deposit of $400 is required and will be returned within 10 days after inspection. P.S. we pride ourselves on offering our house and feel that we want people to have a great vacation. We only ask them to leave it like they found it. What a great get-away! This home felt welcoming from the moment we entered. The large home was fully stocked with everything necessary for our week-long stay. Plenty of comfortable sleeping accommodations including 3 king size beds. The swimming pool was a hit with the teenagers, the upper deck was enjoyed by everyone. The home is so spacious there was room to cook, play or get away to the basement for some TV or a game of pool. We appreciate the owners, Bob & Phyllis, for exceeding our expectations. We'll be back.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: This is our second home and hopefully one day will be our home where we retire. Our house has been used for honeymoons, family vacations, fishing outings, golf retreats, fishing pros., Thanksgiving, and Christmas get aways. We have families who have been coming back for ten years . We try to provide everything for a great vacation.

Everyone had a great time!

We were looking for a location for our family vacation that would accomodate 3 families. We are from a suburb in Chicago as is our daughter and her family and our son lives in Charlotte, NC with his family. So, we were looking for a location that would be even distance from both areas.
The house looks small from the front door outside...what a surprise when we got inside!!
This house was the perfect place for all. The family of 5 took over the downstairs, my husband and I (2) as well as our son's family (3) took over the upstairs. There are so many beds and places to sleep that we didn't even use all of them.
The house was clean, spacious and cozy. The pool was crystal clear clean and a wonderful break if you didn't want to be on a boat all day. Also, it was great to leave our boats and jet skiis in the water the entire vacation at the private dock right on the property.
Everyone had a great time and wonderful family memories!
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: This is our second home and my wife loves to make people have a wonderful time when they are on vacation. She loves to decorate and show off our house. We have 20+ apartments but this is her baby and if I get a call I always tell people let me get the boss. We only ask anyone who stays at our house be it family or others that we try to offer a place for you to have fun with badminton, horse shoes, corn hole, swimming , fishing, and a very private house .We appreciate everyones response and makes us feel great when people have a great vacation.

My party had 7 people and there was plenty of room for all! What a wonderful property to visit. We spent hours in the pool and loved the decks. Lots of wildlife..hawks, owls, deer, all in the back yard.
The home is very clean. I couldn't believe how well stocked the kitchen is. There was not a thing missing that we needed.
My only con with the house is that the bathroom showers are small. I am a very tall person as is most everyone in my family and the showers were a little difficult. However EVERYTHING else made up for it and it was a small inconvience.
I will certainly rent again if our travels take us back to Kentucky.

Owner's Response: THIS WINTER WE REMODELED BOTH BATHROOM IN THE HOUSE AND ALSO ADDED ANOTHER BATHROOM OUTSIDE WITH A 4 FOOT SHOWER AND A LARGE PEDESTAL SINK. IT IS UNDER THE DECK AND IS THE ONE MY WIFE AND I USE ALL THE TIME
