Gatlinburg Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, plus loft, sleeps 8

Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a great place to spend time with your family, Mountain Memories is the place for you. This beautiful custom built cabin features spectacular views and loads of amenities. This cabin is constructed with chestnut logs from a corn bin that was built in Kentucky in the 1700s. When enjoying the breathtaking view from the huge windows in the great room, pay attention to the windows which were part of an exhibit in the 1980's Worlds Fair in Knoxville. The spiral staircase which leads you up to the loft and second bedroom were provided from a home that was dismantled in Georgia.

This cabin is the ultimate getaway offering luxury linens, fully equipped kitchen, pool table, foosball table, TV, stereo, DVD, Hot Tub overlooking the views and much more.

Its convenient location just off the spur leaves you midpoint between downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Smoky Mountain Getaway: Nestled into the mountains, this one of a kind cabin affords you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of this area. Sit back and relax in the hot tub, or grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the view from the wrap around porch. Many places in this cabin to snuggle up with a loved one or a good book (we have supplied some books for your convenience). How about a game of pool or foosball? Relax by the fire place and watch a movie on the flat screen tv. All of this conveniently located to downtown Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain National Park and Pigeon Forge. You are just minutes away from all of the fabulous tourist attractions this area has to offer.

The Area: Smoky Mountain National Park offers great hiking trails, waterfalls, tubing, horseback riding, picinic areas and spectacular overlooks to enjoy the breathtaking views.

Gatlinburg offers skiing and ice skating at the Ober Gatlinburg Resort. Be sure to check out the Ripley's Aquarium and Mueums in beautiful downtown. Lots of shopping, fabulous restaurants and miniature golf are also located in this quaint little town nestled in the mountains. If you enjoying antiquing, be sure to venture down to the craft village in Gatlinburg.

Pigeon Forge bears the one and only Dollywood. A must see when visiting this area. Also check out Dixie Stampede for an entertaining dinner show. Also located in Pigeon Forge are shopping outlets, tons of restaurants to choose from and tons of fun for the kids. The kids will go wild when the see the go cart racing facilities and miniature golf courses sprinkled throughout this area.

There is something for Everyone to enjoy.

Spring Break 2015

  • 4 of 5

Scott and Janise are great! They were helpful and responsive to our needs. The pool table was a huge hit with our teen boys and we enjoyed coffee every morning on the huge wrap around porch before heading out for our day's adventure. The highlight was a bear-sighting on our way to Cades Cove.

Great view!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our 5th wedding anniversary. Mountain Memories was awesome! The drive up can be a bit hairy but the cabin is worth it. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early due to severe winter weather. The view is awesome, looking down over Pigeon Forge. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking your own meals. We even had a raccoon visit us! I practically had to pry my wife out of the large, very comfortable leather chairs. The driveway is a bit steep and a little difficult to get into but there are two options: go a little further up and turn around or do as we did, back in. Backing in makes it easier to get out. Also, for a less steep route coming down, take Sky View over to Silver Poplar. My wife and I are very familiar with the area so this made sense to us. Making the reservations was a breeze. Scott was very responsive and courteous. He was also accommodating to our early departure. If you are looking for something to do, read the comment books on the coffee table. Unfortunately due to our quick early departure we did not have a chance to comment. I always recommend Smoky Mtn brewery, No Way Jose's, and Park Grill. Mountain Memories is the perfect name, because trust me, we made many memories.

Oh What A View..

  • 5 of 5

I planned a trip to the mountains with my daughters and mother-in-law to see the leaves change colors, instead we got hit with 12+ inches of snow in Gatlinburg in November. Turns out unexpected snowfall was the highlight of our stay in the cabin.

The cabin is set way up in the mountains and the views are breathtaking. We enjoyed just hanging out in the cabin and in front of the fire, watching the snow fall. The kids were entertained for hours with the pool table and fuse ball table. The loft was a great area for the kids to sleep, while the adults used the first floor and second-floor bedrooms.

The owner was easily accessible by phone or text and was prompt at 2am in the morning when the whole mountain lost power due to the snow on power lines.

The drive is a little steep, but the worth the view you get from the property. A 4-wheel drive was a must for us because of the snow. Tip, pack a snow shovel and some rock salt if snow is expected.

We took a trip down to Pigeon Forge to the amusement park (which was empty and we walked on all the rides) as well as to the Aquarium.

The family can't wait to return to this cabin.

Great vacation

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this property. Beautiful view, beautiful cabin. The owner was always very quick to respond to any questions prior to vacation. When we had to call once we arrived, he promptly fixed the issue. Would stay here in the future. There were 7 of us, three generations. There was plenty of room. Something for everyone to do.

Everything we'd hoped!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful property, view and location! It was the perfect location for us to visit surrounding areas (we rafted the Pigeon River, visited the Biltmore in Asheville, and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg). Everything we needed - two kids had the upstairs to themselves, they loved the game tables, and the hot tub was much needed after a day of rafting/hiking! As stated in details, the drive there is VERY steep. We drive a 4 wheel drive and in perfect weather conditions, still had to go into low gears. Don't underestimate......but WELL worth the drive! Thanks Scott for everything - highly recommend.
