Great Family Vacation Spot

Description of these two "up and down" apartments is accurate and photos depicted rooms as they really are. Property was wonderfully adequate for our family grouping of 10 adults. The four needing "no steps" stayed downstairs; remaining six camped out upstairs with easy outdoor-stair access to group activities downstairs. Owner was very responsive to all our questions and issues; we were well cared for! We cooked mainly in the kitchen downstairs but did use the kitchen upstairs for some baking in the oven and for early-AM coffee, etc. Space was VERY comfortable - large rooms and bathrooms throughout.
We took a steamboat ride on the Mississippi which was "just OK" - not highly recommended. Engine room was interesting, however. Food was only fair. BUT we are spoiled as we have our own resident chef and others in the family who enjoy cooking. Fireworks from a window table in a local, large, on-the-river hotel were enjoyable; buffet was adequate. Well-known local coffee house with good coffee and beignets was enjoyed by all one morning when breakfast was "on our own."
Great grocery store only 3-4 blocks away; they made money on us!!
Great place for a family gathering! Highly recommended!!
