Perched 50 feet above Tims Ford lake, this retreat has breathtaking Wide Open Views across the lake. A Large Floating Dock is perfect for Swimming, Boating, Water Skiing, Tubing, Fishing or Relaxing. The Master Bedroom has an incredible Lake View through 9 foot wide sliding glass doors with a Hot Tub just outside on the 400 square foot covered patio. In the evening, the living room becomes a Home Theater with a 10' Screen and Surround Sound. A nearby Licensed Massage Therapist is on-call for on-site (even on dock) massages! There is an exercise room, that can double as a second bedroom with a large futon. The living room has a sofa and two Rocker Recliners. A community Boat Ramp is 500 yds from the house. A Pedal Boat is available year round to explore the lake or nearby Goose Island. Originally designed as a 'mother-in-law' apartment, this 900 square foot property is the lower half of a lake home with a completely private entrance and extensive sound-proofing.

This property is best for a romantic retreat for a couple, or a couple with one or two children who are old enough to swim and safely navigate outside stairs to the lake. It can also be used for two couples, but there is only one bathroom and the second bedroom doesn't have any windows.

This is the lower half of a lake home with a completely private entrance and extensive sound proofing. It was designed originally as a 'mother-in-law' apartment. The owners travel frequently and are often not present. Even if the owners are present, they are usually 'invisible' and the backyard and dock are for exclusive use by the guests during their stay. The privacy is excellent but we are in a neighborhood with good neighbors on both sides. One of them has small children, and we would prefer they not learn new words :). So, this is not the best property for late night loud rowdy partying outside.

Dave is a former Navy F18 pilot, Lilli was in the medical field. We are neither one from the area originally but have been here about 16 years and love it! Dave is now writing his second novel and we have an e-commerce business, so we can work from home.

We moved here for work reasons and fell in love with the area and people. It's a slower paced life in a beautiful surrounding but with plenty of opportunities to play. You can either relax and soak up rays or fish ... or you can spike your adrenaline with water sports. We're very proud of our house. We travel frequently and thought it would be a waste not to share this little slice of paradise.

Tims Ford is a 10,700 acre lake with 246 miles of beautiful shoreline. Located in a secluded community, but just 10 minutes from local restaurants, a historic cinema and a Wal-Mart. The Jack Nicholas designed Bear Trace Golf Course was named one of the 'Top Ten Places You Can Play', and it's a 20 minute drive or 5 minutes by boat! For history buffs, less than 30 minutes away is Jack Daniels, the oldest distillery in the US. Sewanee and the University of the South, along with exceptional dining, are a 35 minute scenic drive up the mountain. The Bonnaroo Music Festival is also 35 minutes away. Less than forty-five minutes to the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration in Shelbyville, and some of the best hicking trails in the Southeast, such as Fiery Gizzard and Stone Door. We are also an hour from Huntsville and the US Space Center, and 90 minutes from Nashville and Chattanooga.

The property is also about 50 feet above the lake on a fairly steep slope. The staircase down to the lake and floating dock has 60 steps. This property is not recommended for individuals with heart, back or other physical or medical conditions. Due to the steep slope and stairs, small children MUST be supervised at all times for their safety.

This lakefront home is clean and well-stocked. You just have to bring toiletries and food. Some food is provided in the pantry; most condiments are provided. The projection TV and hot tub are awesome!

This is a wonderful place for a weekend getaway or short vacation. The apartment has all the amenities and then some. I was a little concerned about being in someone's basement apartment, but it is soundproofed, and you don't even know the owners are there. The view is indescribable. There is a great dock for fishing and an awesome entertainment system. The whole place is quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was just the right temperature. There is a nice selection of books, movies and games. The owner even left us a plate of homemade cookies. We will definitely go back!

What a gorgeous place! The owners provide not only a beautifully decorated, well-appointed two bedroom lakeside apartment, but also a hot-tub, Wifi, private parking, lake pier, covered patio and enough food in the pantry for a scrumptious breakfast! We were there for activities at nearby Suwanee, but would honestly have been just as happy to stay by the lake and enjoy the quiet and the beautiful views of water and autumn leaves. This will continue to be on our list of favorite VRBO places to stay.

The BEST Ever

My husband and I arrived a little earily then expected to find Kimberly cleaning. She was very nice and I enjoyed talking with her. The place was better then we thought from the pictures. It was great!!!! Everything from the cookies to the mints on the pillows to the food in the kitchen. I could not believe how nice it was. I even told my husband we couldn't stay in this place because it was too nice. Can't wait to go back in May.
Lilli, thanks for working with us on our arrival date changing because of my husband braking his back. The hot tub did him alot of good. He will have surgery Nov. 1.
Dave, thanks for the copy of your book. I've told everyone I see about it. Can't wait for it to become a movie and watch it on the BIG screen at your lovely home.

The amentities that this house offers, are more than expected. It has a great view. My family and I enjoyed the stay and wished we would have booked for a longer period. Once you get there and experiance this home it is hard to leave. The owerners of this property where great. The cookies and chocolates were a nice treat!
