What a Great Find

We felt we were taking a chance, picking a house on a smaller lake, but we were so pleasently surprised with the entire experience. We brought a boat, and were able to leave it docked at the property all week. We fished on Six Mile lake, and went tubing as well.
It's a beautiful home, I honestly was not even sure it was the right place when we walked in because it looked so nice. My wife and I brought my 15 year old and one of his friends, each had their own room upstairs, we had the master downstairs. We used the gas grill, sat out on the large deck overlooking the lake, and even used some of the board games they had there for our use. We cooked in a couple of nights (we were there 6 nights), and all I can say is what a great deal this place was.
It was about an 8 hour drive for us from Illinois, and we are already looking at when we can come back next year. We fished for bass, walleye, and pike, and the fishing was great. The local bait shop owner in East Jordan (about 3 miles away) was helpful, and the house was central enough and close enough to everything. We went to a Lake Michigan beach two days, which was only about 20 minutes away, and we also went to Mackinaw Island, which was about 90 minutes away. We plan to hit all of the sights we missed, like Sleeping Bear dunes, on our trip this coming summer.
It was a great experience for everyone in my family.
