Beautiful Condo in Puerta Del Mar, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Puerta del Mar sits approximately 300 feet above sea level, over “world famous” Crash Boat Beach. You will enjoy the best sunset in the Caribbean overlooking Crash Boat Beach on the west Coast of Puerto Rico. Puerta del Mar’s recreational facilities boast breathtaking views of Desecheo Island, the Mona Passage, Aguadilla Bay, two swimming pools and one is an Infinity pool, BBQ area, gazebos, and playground. Puerta del Mar is close to famous surfing beaches in Puerto Rico, water park, restaurants, ice rink, horseback riding area, bowling alley(2), Movie Theater, shopping, and Rafael Hernandez Airport (BQN). Water sports at Crash Boat Beach include Jet Ski, banana boat, scuba diving, snorkeling and more. The unit is completely furnished, 3 AC units, Ceiling fans, 2 parking spots, full kitchen, washer and dryer, TV, Internet and Cable. The condo is in a gated community with guard.

Attractions in Nearby Town: The West Coast of Puerto Rico offers some of the world's best beaches. When you take a trip out west make sure you discover its major attractions: Isabela, Aguadilla, Rincón (with its lighthouse park) and Añasco offer some of the world’s great surfing areas and beaches. The small towns of Moca, Aguada and Hormigueros are known for their beautiful handicrafts. San Sebastian, Las Marías and Maricao represent fascinating examples of the mountainous towns dedicated to agriculture. In the port city of Mayagüez, you can enjoy a first-rate zoo, historic theater and beautiful city plaza. The Cabo Rojo area (Joyuda, Boquerón, El Combate and Mona) entices visitors with its beautiful beaches, excellent seafood and the Boquerón Wildlife refuge, a paradise for bird-watchers. Unique architecture helps to define San German; its neighbor Sabana Grande is considered the gateway to the Luis Muñoz Marín Panoramic Route.

Events in Aguadilla: Patron Saint Festival - 11/15/2010 - 11/18/2010 Every year, Aguadilla celebrates a patron saint festival. The festivities include live music, dances, food, parades and religious processions. Carnival Aguadillano – 12/02/09 – 12/02/09 Festival de la Chiringa – 4/29/2010 – 4/29/2010 This festival, geared toward the Chiringa (kite), includes food kiosks, music and kite flying. Great fun for kids. Crash Boat Beach Summer Festival – 05/23/2010 – 05/25/2010 For the past ten years at the end of May, thousands of people have flocked to Aguadilla’s famous Crash Boat Beach for its highly anticipated summer festival. The day long event is jam-packed with musical performances by the island’s top salsa, meringue, reggae, and Spanish-rock bands. Beach goers will have their pick of volleyball, swimming, kayaking, sailing and dance competitions.

Other Information: Fly directly into Aguadilla through the Aguadilla International Airport (BQN-previously Ramey AFB), an 8 minutes drive from the condo and avoid the traffic from San Juan's Int. Airport (SJU). Remember that you do not need a US passport to travel from the United States to Puerto Rico and that the currency is in US dollars. So, come and take in the warm Caribbean sun and view the splendor of this west coast jewel. Traveling east less than two hours is San Juan; further east is El Yunque Tropical Forest.

Aguadilla, where our condo is located, is known as the 'Garden of the Atlantic' with beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, the perfect combination of a quiet and relaxing small town with all the amenities of a city. The area is internationally recognized for its world-class surfing beaches. Aguadilla’s most popular surfing beaches are Gas Chamber and Wilderness. Crash Boat Beach, directly below the condo, is famous for its crystal clear waters. Other spectacular beaches, Las Ruinas (The Ruins), Surfer's Beach and more are nearby. Visit the “Punta Borinquen Golf Course' located on cliffs overlooking the Aguadilla Bay and only a 8 minute drive from Puerta del Mar Villas and Aguadilla Mall is about 10 minutes drive. Shopping, horseback riding, Ice / roller skating, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, and many other tourist attractions and activities are nearby. A great variety of restaurants and fast food are in the immediate area, as well as hospitals, cinemas and bowling alleys.

Golf: Punta Borinquen Golf Club located about 8 minute drive from Puerta del Mar Villas and next to Aguadilla International Airport (BQN) : This 18-hole, par-72 course was opened in 1940 for the officers of Ramey Air Base. The course is set high on a cliff overlooking the spot where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. There are beautiful views of a lighthouse from the 7th and 8th holes. The course itself is very open with abundant sand traps and a stiff, challenging crosswind. A driving range and practice green are also on-site. The 55 meter elevation offers breathtaking ocean views and sunsets, which provide a true Caribbean style round golf.

Rental Rates for this vacation condo rental in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

  • Check in time: 3:00 PM – Check out time: 11:00 AM. Early check-in/late check-out may be available.
  • All reservations require an initial booking deposit equal to 50% of the rental price, payable at time of booking. The rental balance plus a $200 refundable security deposit are due 15 days prior to check-in date, except for certain peak days/weeks (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). For peak dates, the rental balance and security deposit must be paid 25 days prior to arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 10 days after check-out. For accident, illness or deceased family we will allow you to apply the funds to a future stay.
  • Cancellations (High Season): Initial booking deposits are fully refundable for all cancellations made more than 45 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made 30 to 45 days prior to arrival date are subject to a $250 cancellation fee. Rental deposits will not be refunded for cancellations made less than 30 days before scheduled arrival date.
    Cancellations (Low Season): Initial booking deposits are fully refundable for all cancellations made more than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date are subject to a $250 cancellation fee.

The pictures do not do this condo justice, the experience exceeded my expectations! The condo is very close to town but yet in a very quite neighborhood. The view from the pool was amazing. I wish i could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this rental to anyone coming to the area.

Great Stay!

The Condo Rental was a great choice for us. We have 3 children and we were all very comfortable. Condo had enough beds, was clean and had beautifully maintained grounds. We loved the Infinity pool and the great view. There was lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Crash Boat beach is just a few minutes away and we had a great time there as well. We also went horseback riding on the beach in nearby Isabella and had a great time. Will definitely come back again and recommend this location, for families of all ages. The condo owner Jorge was always available to answer my questions and the condo was as depicted in his ad, very nice.
