Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

An exquisite, immaculately clean, completely new apartment, renovations completed in 2009. Private entrance. Bright and airy. Radiant in-floor heating with separate thermostat. Quality bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Full kitchen includes all new appliances: full size stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. 27 inch flat panel TV. Laundry facilities, including washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. Free off-street parking for a small car (the driveway is narrow).

We are three minutes walk from a 24-hour bus stop on Ossington. It is a 5 minute ride to the Ossington station on the Bloor subway. It is an 8 minute subway ride to the high fashion shops at Yonge and Bloor. If you stay on the Ossington bus, it will take you to Ossington and Queen within 15 minutes, which is one of the most trendy new restaurant and night club districts. St Clair Avenue is a 5 minute walk, where there are many restaurants and shops.

About The Owner

Bill is a retired biomedical engineer, and Beth is a retired hospital Administrator. We've lived in Toronto most of our lives. We love the city, and we enjoy sharing tips on the best restaurants and most interesting things to see and do in the city. We like to travel, and have often used apartments listed on VRBO. This experience has given us the ideas that we have incorporated into our apartment listed here. We have tried to anticipate all the needs of travelers looking for quiet comfortable accommodation.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1987
Why The Owner chose Toronto

Our home is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with good access to public transit. Restaurants, grocery stores, a bulk food store, a supermarket and a liquor store are within walking distance. We are 5 minutes walk to St Clair avenue, which has a wide selection of restaurants serving foods of many cultures. There is a Saturday organic farmer's market within 10 minutes walk. Two excellent French patisseries are within 10 minutes walk, and a restaurant that Now Magazine says has 'possibly the best wood-burning, thin-crust pizza in town' is also 10 minutes walk away.

What makes this apartment unique

There are restful outdoor seating areas in the front and back gardens. There is a private entrance to the apartment.

A gem in the city

This apartment was all that one could ask for a place away from home
.It is modern,clean,thoughtfully designed with quality materials and fixtures,well stocked , well located and at a very reasonable price.The owners are lovely people very willing to make your stay as pleasant as you would like.
I have looked at hundreds of ads for apartments and have stayed at dozens and dozens of apartments around the world and would put this one at the top of my list as the one to return to.
My advice: Look no further !

Just like Home...

I stayed at this apartment for two weeks while attending some classes at University of Toronto. The owners where friendly and helpful but also discreet. The apartment was exactly as in the photos, very clean, modern, and comfortable. By bus and train you can go any ware in town very quickly and the area is quiet. Nearby mini market and bakery for the everyday simple needs. I felt like home form the first day, I will definitely stay there again when I return for more classes and I recommend it to everyone without second thought. Thank you Bill for such a wonderful experience !!

This was a great place for our long weekend getaway for us. It was a clean, modern and private small apartment for our short trip to check out Toronto. It was easily accessible to all areas of Toronto. We really enjoyed staying there.

Better than home.

Thank you Bill for a smooth transaction. Your apartment was so much more than we expected. Everything was perfectly clean and well stocked. The apartment appeared even better than the photographs. We especially appreciated being able to do our laundry right there. Your information about public transportation was most helpful - we were able to get around on Toronto's transit system with no trouble at all. What a beautiful city. We do apologize for the delayed review we came home to a serious family crisis. We will look forward to staying there the next time if you will have us. Thank you for being part of VRBO.

I stayed at the Pied a Terre for three nights ( Oct 10-12 incl. ) and was not disappointed one bit!
Everything was as expected, beautifully designed and maintained, with a most helpful host. I have to blame the nearby Avoca Bakery for my additional calories, but it was well worth it!!.
I chose this location because it was close to my son's house, but I really loved exploring the neighbourhood and realised that this was such a great spot for anyone to experience the REAL Toronto!
An incredible bonus for me, was to be able to reach Toronto's Pearson Airport on the local transit system for less than $1.50 ( I'm a senior), and it took just an hour from door to door-- only thing you have to watch for is a Subway station that has an elevator ( luggage situation) so I had to go by the 127 Davenport bus, back a few stations in order to find that facility. If I hadn't needed that, the trip would have been 45 minutes or less!
If my son's new place isn't completed soon, I'll certainly be back and obviously would recommend to a solo traveller or a couple. Many thanks, Bill.
