Our property is beautiful and warm. We take pride in our home and offer our guests a very comfortable clean environment. We use only natural organic products for cleaning, laundry and personal care products. The apartment is very tastefully decorated. The house is surrounded with lots of trees and flowers. People often stop by and comment on the beauty of our property.

Hi my name is Pauline. I am a natural health consultant. I help people with weight management and nutrition. I love having tea in the morning while looking onto the lake from the balcony. The view is spectacular.

The Owner purchased this house in 1984
Why The Owner chose Halifax

I love the fact that it is centrally located. Not only that you are with in 20 minutes from the airport, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Halifax. I also love being close to the water and our lake is very pretty.

What makes this house unique

Public transportation only 5 minutes walking distance. We have access to the beach which is only a 15 minute walk. We are located 5 minutes from the shopping district and movie theater. There are beautiful trails all around us for nature walks.

What a wonderful, relaxing place for us to stay when we came to Nova Scotia for a family wedding. The accomodations were comfortable, our hosts so welcoming and helpful, and several thoughtful items were on hand to make it feel like home. We would definitely return if we travel that way again. Thank you Pauline and Gary!

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased. Pauline is a wonderful hostess and provides everything that you would need for your stay. She gave directions to shopping and recommendations of things to see. The washer and dryer is a nice bonus also. The location is great for exploring the area and is close to shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

A Great Way to Start our Tour of the Maritimes

Pauline's and Gary's warm welcome and hospitality was fantastic after our long flight. The lodging was perfect and the location was close to everything. Gary's helpful list of suggestions of what to see and do while we were in the area was a lifesaver. Pauline's gardens are magical and a perfect place to unwind after a day on the go. We highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Getaway

My sisters and I get away for a week each year to spend some quality time and see some areas of America we haven't been to. Pauline's "Lakeview Hideaway" provided us with just the opportunity to do so in Nova Scotia. The apartment was pretty, nicely appointed and very clean. Having a kitchen and dining area to sit and have breakfast or tea was a plus (it was even stocked with a variety of teas for our use). The laundry room was very helpful in this day of carry-on bags and limited clothes. We were able to see much of Nova Scotia in a very short time since we were so close to all the sights.
We also enjoyed the beautiful natural landscaping surrounding the property.
We were greeted and treated warmly, however were also given our privacy as needed.
Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer!

We felt like Family

We recently stayed and Pauline and Gary's beautiful home and were not disappointed at all. I traveled from Ontario with my mom and two sons ,ages 14 and 5, and we all felt as if we were part of the family. The accommodations were exactly as pictured, immaculate, welcoming and homey with everything we needed to be comfortable. It was a 15 minute drive into the heart of Halifax and close to all major shopping. I love to BBQ, and we were welcomed to use the backyard BBQ and patio as if it were our own. You could not get the comfort and relaxation that we had at Pauline and Gary's home if you stay in a hotel or another impersonal accommodation. And my kids loved "Hamlet". I would not only recommend staying here but will definitely return again. Thanks for your hospitality Pauline and Gary.
