SKI IN / SKI OUT FRIENDLY IN WINTER:

Approx 150 yards walk over to Ski-In / Ski-Out base of Blackcomb Mountain where you put your skis on to Ski-In to The Wizard Lift line. You can then Ski both Blackcomb and Whistler mountains using the Peak-to-Peak Gondola at the top included in your Lift ticket. Ski-Out or download depending snow conditions to the bottom of Blackcomb Wizard Lift for easiest walk back to our condo about 150 yards.

MILE HIGH MOUNTAINS:

Both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains are about one mile vertical drop when you Ski top to bottom. So Ski conditions can vary and actual runs are long. If you are new to Whistler Blackcomb, we recommend the free orientation tours offered at the top.

BIKE IN / BIKE OUT FRIENDLY IN SUMMER:

Approx 350 yards ride over to Whistler Mountain Bike Lift.

Village Trail in front of condo that connects to all valley trails and lakes. Bike Park directly across creek bridge from condo.

Storage locker, bike stand, cable locks, wash station provided for bikes in summer.

Our condo is one of the closest townhouse condos to both lifts and village. Considered Ski-In / Ski-Out by Tourism Whistler under a 5 min walk. Actually about 150 yards walk to where you put your skis on and off depending on snow conditions and which paths are cleared.

This condo is in one of only a few complexes in Whistler that are considered ski-in/ski-out, close to Whistler Village, and set in a quiet forested area making it easy to get a good night’s sleep.

Private entrance, about 150 yards to the Blackcomb Lift Base, Daylodge, Ski School and Daycare. Shopping and Restaurants are about 350 yards walk along the Village Trail. If you are flying in to Vancouver Airport, take the Shuttle or Limo to & from our condo, no rental car needed, walk to everything in minutes.

Amenities include, a park-like setting beside a mountain creek with a covered bridge directly opposite Blackcomb base, heated slate-tile floors, river rock fireplace, log accents, fully-equipped open kitchen great for entertaining,

new appliances, and two and a half baths.

We purchased this condo because it is the closest townhouse condo to both Lifts and Village and large enough to accommodate our family and friends, with lots of privacy. No one above, no one below, no other condos in front, faces trees and beside a park.

What makes this townhome unique

Considered Ski-In / Ski-Out by Touism Whistler and family friendly. It is about 150 yards walk over to Blackcomb lift base where you put your skis on and Ski-In to the lift line. You do not need a car. Walk to everything in minutes. As one guest said, ' you fall out the front door and your almost at the Lift'.

Nice property but......

This property was nice but it is advertised as a "Ski in ski out friendly".

I interpret that as ski in ski out, or at least very close to it

It is not ski in ski out. Not even close.

The walk mentioned to get to the lifts

Is accurate.

You cannot ski to or from the lifts. You must carry your equipment.

It is approx 150 yards walk over to the Blackcomb base where you put your skis on and Ski-In to The Wizard Lift line. You Ski-Out to the bottom of The Wizard on Blackcomb depending on snow conditions. It usually takes us 3 - 5 minutes to walk over to our condo. Under 5 min walk to a lift is considered Ski-In / Ski-Out in Whistler.

Excellent Place for Whistler!!

I just completed a week stay during New Years at #54 at the Gables and it was perfect! The house is in the ideal location, no car necessary. You're less than a 5 minute walk to any lift, and the village. We had a group of 8 skiers and snowboarders, and the house slept everyone comfortably, had room for everyone's gear, we couldn't have found a better place to stay. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in Whistler. So much fun, hope to stay there again next year!

We have just completed an excellent 8 day stay in 54 The Gables. It was everything we needed, clean, warm, and comfortable and in the best location for access to the slopes and the village. The host and concierge were attentive and accommodating to our needs.

Loved it!

My husband, two kids and I just spent a week at Whistler with a few friends and had a fantastic experience. The condo is an end unit townhouse at the base of Blackcomb and a few minute walk from the base of Whistler. This was important to us with little kids, as we didn’t want to walk very far in the mornings with all the ski gear or in the evenings for dinner. It’s also surrounded by beautiful trees and right next to the main village path that crosses a creek with a covered walking bridge that lights up in various Christmas colors. Very pretty. As for the inside, everything was as advertised with the kitchen and living/dining room on the main floor and then two levels above made up of bedrooms and a loft space with more beds and TV. Great multi-family place and hope to return soon.

Great Location, Needs Update

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Whistler. The condo we stayed in was in a great location in the Gables, which is about halfway between Blackcomb and Whistler. The property was as described in the listing with plenty of beds for people to sleep in. The amenities as were as described in the pictures with a relatively small kitchen and living space. Most beds were reported to me as comfortable. There is several opportunities for updating in the condo, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen needs new cabinets to go along with the new appliances. Bathrooms could also use a freshening with new cabinets and showers. Lastly, the floor is in desperate need of work. There are multiple areas of grout missing and the occasional cracked tile. Would recommend to a friend, especially if there was a small amount of updating.
