Almost Heaven mountain cabin retreat is located in the Village of Ruidoso, within walking distance of main street shopping and restaurants.

You'll be surrounded by quiet, gentle deer and huge Ponderosa pine trees.

The cabin has ample room for up to 8 vacationers with large bedrooms, living area & 2 decks for gathering. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, extra large hot tub available year round, covered car port for multiple vehicles, large front & back yards for youngsters' play, etc.

With all the amenities, all you'll need to do is show up and enjoy. Like many, you won't want to leave Almost Heaven.

About the Owners: Welcome to our cabin! We live in Texas with family in California, Texas and Arizona. Being in the mountains at Ruidoso is a treat for us & our family no matter what time of year! We are avid motorcycle riders with a passion for tour riding in the US and Europe. Scuba diving is another sport we enjoy. When we're at Almost Heaven we enjoy horse back riding, snow skiing, hiking, of course motorcycle riding, artist tours, time with friends, family reunions and more.

Why we chose to buy in Ruidoso: We fell in love with the people & Village of Ruidoso, the towering Ponderosa pines, Sierra Blanca Mountain and so much more on our first visit, Thanksgiving 2007. By Feb 08, we owned this mountain retreat. Sitting on the front porch, we really felt like this was almost heaven, hence the perfect cabin name: Almost Heaven. Ruidoso always has many events for all ages, outdoor activities and R&R. Every season holds a vast array of fun things to do and see, plus awesome restaurants and great shopping in the quaint village. You'll love this vacation get-away!

About Michael

Welcome to our cabin! We live in Texas with family in California, Texas and Arizona. Being in the mountains at Ruidoso is a treat for us & our family no matter what time of year! Almost Heaven is nestled in Ponderosa pines of the Lincoln National Forest just minutes from the Village of Ruidoso. Though close to the village, this setting makes you feel like you're 'away from it all'. Heaven on Earth!

We did something different this year and decided to spend Christmas in Ruidoso. We were not dissapointed in our accomodations. So cozy and clean and very well appointed. We could not have asked for anything more. Our bed was the most comforable bed we have slept in and will be searching for the mattress set in the near future! We really enjoyed the deer coming in the front yard yet the convenience of being so close to town. We even had a white Christmas which was a bonus! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we can't wait to return!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Almost Heaven is a great cabin and we really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to both town and skiing. We had difficulty adjusting the heat for upstairs and downstairs, but finally reached a good compromise. One of the guest beds had holes in one side of the pillowcase, but it was clean. The cabin creeks with every move, so you can hear every time someone is up moving around.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
