First of all, THANKS JOE! We had an awesome stay at this place. We sayed in the 3 bedroom apt. downstairs. Although Joe was VERY hesitant to letting us stay but he accommodated us anyway. our original party was 8 people and turned into 10. 4 adults and 6 kids. We all had a bed to sleep in. If you want a place that feels like home, this is it! We tried to stay with Joe last year but it wasn't available. So if your planning to go to Puerto Rico and want a great place to stay, i'd book it today! We walked the beach daily and collected amazing amounts of sea glass. We would drive to the local surf spots and would be there in less than 10 minutes. We liked it that way because you can drive thru the town and get supplies on the way thru and also see the local culture. There's a great fishing village next door and fun to watch them come in with their catch and drive p the beach to get their boats parked. We went to San Sebastian's waterfall and its a must see. Its about a 32 minute drive from the house. We stayed 2 weeks and still it wasn't enough time to do everything that we planned that trip. But we come once a year and should be able to get our Ponce trip off the list. Also if you really want to feel the local vibe and hang with the locals. Just walk next store to the Cantina. Fun times had by all there. You also will find once tourist to the area and now turned locals. So you definitely will have someone to converse with if you don't speak Spanish. Also, PLEASE treat Joe's house as your own! Don't trash it or disrespect this place in any way! We love this place and would like to come back to it without blemish. Joe is an awesome host and we hope he allows us back to the best kept secret of Rincon. Thanks Joe! Your home was AWESOME!
We stayed in the upper level of the house for a week and everything was fantastic! We didn't arrive into Rincón until late at night but Joe waited up for us and got us settled. House was great with a nice breeze coming off the water during the day and the sunsets were amazing. Joe was a big help with giving us directions to places to check out and even helped us get some fresh fish from the local market that's right next door. House is a couple minute drive from town on a nice quiet street with little traffic. Definitely will have to come back again in the future!
