Down a wooded country road, you will find a beautiful contemporary house, with guest house, situated on four acres fronting the Edgartown Great Pond, a coastal sanctuary.
This body of warm water, surrounded by miles of pristine shoreline, is home to swans, geese, terns, gulls, plovers, osprey, horseshoe and blue crabs, and even a playful otter. A narrow strip of sand separates the Pond from a restricted access Atlantic beach that is ten minutes by boat from your own private dock. Access is only available to owners and guests/renters. You can picnic by the dunes, or walk for miles along the beach and, often, see only your own footprints. Guests are encouraged to explore the Pond by sea kayak, windsurfer, sunfish or motorboat. Children will love swimming at the beach or playing on the extensive oak-shaded lawns.
Privacy and accessibility: The house has a comfortable elegance that allows for both impressive entertaining and casual family gatherings. Cathedral ceilings, white oak paneling, oak floors, expansive decks and picture windows throughout compliment the surrounding natural beauty.
Additional amenities include fireplaces, cable television, unlimited long distance calling, WiFi and Ethernet connections, two phone lines and a fax line.
Yet, this beautiful and well-equipped house is an eight-minute drive from the picturesque and historic whaling village of Edgartown, with world-class shopping and restaurants.
