We could not have been happier with Pierre's condo. Spacious, clean, and the perfect blend of old charm and modern style. Everything we needed was provided. The location is second to none! Pierre was professional and pleasant to work with, forwarding all instructions in a clear and timely manner. Absolutely no complaints! Thank you Pierre for helping to make our vacation wonderful.
We just returned from staying at Pierre's lovely condo in old Quebec! We couldn't have asked for better accommodations during our stay. The condo was very spacious and bright. Our daughter LOVED sitting at the corner window gazing out at the passersby below. The beds were comfortable and roomy. It was very good value for your dollar. The condo is oozing with character - you feel like you're staying in a charming flat in Europe! We were 2 adults and 1 child. Everyone had lots of room to stretch out and relax in their own space. The condo was very clean and well-equipped. Pierre was a delight to deal with. He made everything effortless and we had all the info we needed at our fingertips. The location is second-to-none! You are literally 5 minutes stroll to Chateau Frontenanc and 3 minutes from the St Louis gates that lead into Quebec city. There are epiceries within 5 minutes walk to pick up a few groceries and restaurants galore! This condo even provides you with parking - a rare occurrence in this charming ville, where space and parking are at a premium. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and highly recommend this condo and its lovely owner! Merci Pierre! PS - And if you go in the winter be sure to try the glissade (ice toboggan ride behind Chateau Frontenanc) - it's the biggest thrill you'll EVER get for $2 !!!!
The location of this condo was perfect and convenient. It's near all attractions, restaurants, shops and the Carnaval de Quebec site. The condo was clean and roomy and had all the amenities as described. The hosts Pierre and Andre were helpful and always prompt with responses. We appreciated the binder provided with instructions on how to use the appliances and maps/directions.
We stayed here last week. My husband and I with our 16 year old daughter and our 11 year old son loved everything about it. It is charming, historic, yet modern. Very clean and well stocked. The location couldn't be better. We loved sitting in the corner window of the living room watching all the hustle and bustle on the street below. We even saw the 22nd Regiment Army Band come marching down the street. We didn't mind the street noise as it added to the ambiance of vacationing in the city. Having parking included in the rental is such a bonus. We only needed our car three times to take rides out the various parks and waterfalls. We really enjoyed just walking around the old city taking pictures, going in all the shops and especially getting ice cream. It will be one of our most memorable vacations.
Perfect location, great for families with children

We were in Quebec City for a week, attending a wedding, and needed a place centrally located in Old Town, affordable, fun and appropriate for small children (ours are 1 and 3) and with local charm. We lucked out with this apartment rental!
From the standpoint of location, I can't think of a better place to be. When you look at the picture the owners have listed, the apartment is on the second floor right on the corner, so all those fabulous, tall windows on the second floor above the red awnings and several beyond that belong to this apartment. That corner there is a just a few blocks inside the old town walls, on the street that goes to the Chateau Frontenac, so you have all the shops, restaurants, etc that start around there, without being right in the middle of all the chaos and noise a little further down the street. We could walk everywhere, upper and lower old town, and really felt like we were living like locals. The included parking was a 5 minute walk away, and also very convenient for the few times we took our car out. We drove from New York, but if you are flying to Quebec there is no need for a car here unless you are taking trips outside the city...you can walk everywhere.
The apartment itself oozed old world charm, with wood floors, tall ceilings, tons of light from the huge French windows. My 3 year old daughter loved sitting on the windowsills watching all the action on the street below or playing with her dolls - for children, each one is almost like a big window seat, lots of fun. They have a lot of more modern details and furnishings - which I thought I would not like as much as I usually like more traditional furnishings, antiques, etc - but it all flowed very well and things like keyless entry and the flat screen tv and other electronics were very convenient. The kitchen was well stocked, and they even had a box of kids toys packed away that visiting children can play with.
You can tell this is a well-loved apartment, that the owners enjoy themselves, too. It is not just some anonymous rental. The owers were great communicators before, during and after our stay and dealt with our various questions patiently and quickly. Several other people who were there for the same wedding also rented different apartments throughout town, which we visited, and I have to say that I honestly liked ours the best, and felt we had the best value for our money.
We would stay here again & recommend it to others!
We (family of four, plus a friend of my daughter's--5 total) stayed in the condo for a week at the end of June. The condo was very clean, attractive, and well-appointed, and exactly as described in the photos and listing description. It would be a nice condo regardless, but the excellent location is what really sets this one apart. It is adjacent to Grande Allee/Rue St. Louis, just inside the walls of the old city of Quebec. If you want to explore the old city, you are right there, but if you feel like exploring the area just outside the walls, it's also a short walk. We didn't have to use our car, except when we drove to the waterpark (Village Vacances Valcartier) or to Canyon Ste-Anne and Montmorency Falls. The owners provided us with very clear and accurate instructions for checking in and out. We enjoyed having a kitchen area where we could prepare breakfast and snacks. The neighborhood is a little noisy at night, but not so much that we couldn't sleep (normal for an urban neighborhood).
Across the street is an excellent pizza restaurant, and we found others in our stay in Quebec City as well (Casa Calzone, La Pizz), because we were traveling with teenagers. Besides the obvious local historical sites, I highly recommend road-tripping to see the waterfalls at Canyon Ste-Anne and Montmorency Falls, although some knowledge of French is extremely helpful when leaving the immediate Quebec City area.
I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone traveling to Quebec City!
