Bali without the long flight and time change.
"What an amazing way to wake up, a gentle breeze off the ocean and then opening your eyes to the vista of Puerto Vallarta right from the bed.
The location is great. While you are a short walk from the beach you are really far above it, away from the chaos of restaurants and beach life, so much better to over look it than to be immersed in it.
The Condo is fresh and new with contemporary furnishings for a great architectural feel. We were told not to worry about closing up the place but just leave the window doors wide open. It is safe and when I asked after the mosquitoes I was told PV has very few and the constant breeze coming up from the ocean blows them away and keeps the condo cool. I had my doubts but the concierge was right. Our stuff was safe and not a bite or even buzzing to ruin the open-air life. Now this is camping the way it should be.
The two good-sized bedrooms both had bathrooms with open air showers, very reminiscent of Bali but without the jet lag. Very clean and spa like.
The living room is magical since there is only a clear glass balcony wall between you and the view. The sofa appeared to be able to convert to an extra bed but we didn't need it.
There are three paths that lead to down the hillside to the beach. The most difficult one is the closest and bet used in daylight, the second could be easily done at night but for the squeamish you can take the longer street way. All three of these paths bring you right to the beach and restaurants.
One of our favorite eateries was a very short walk on the beach called la Palapa, they have a great menu and great service, and something you don't often see in a beach front restaurant."
