Cottage Decor:
The overall decor and design of ‘Grapefruit Getaway‘ reflects the cottage-style life. Archways lead you from one room to the next. Beadboard in the front living area really gives it a cottage feel. Enjoy the lanai overlooking the backyard. Ceiling fans in every room make it comfortable to enjoy the open air tropical ‘green’ life style. All-new furnishings throughout the home are beautiful and comfortable. Furniture and wall colors are Soft and Neutral to enhance the tranquil feel of the home.
Meals and living areas:
Gather for meals around the kitchen island (seating for 6). The eat-in kitchen is equipped with a full range of cookware, utensils, bar ware and dinnerware, and was put together by someone who likes to entertain. All stainless appliances are 2 years old. Enjoy a more formal dinner in the lounge area where there is a table that could seat 6-8, or enjoy dinner on the lanai! Feel free to grab a grapefruit off the tree in the back yard! They are delicious!
There are 2 separate living areas available. One has a 45' flat screen TV and has a great entertainment center that holds DVD player, books, games, etc... Also in this room is an I-Pod docking station that has radio and CD player. We refer to the next living area as the lounge. We have a large L-shaped comfy sofa that's a great spot for reading a book or taking a nap. Also in the lounge (which is adjacent to the kitchen) we have a nice wood table that can expand to seat 6-8. Gather for a meal or a great card came in this area!
Other Activities:
shelling, wildlife watching (dolphins/manatees)
