The apartment building Mont Royale is just two blocks off Via Argentina which is the center of the “Quartier Latin” de Panama. This neighborhood has become a trendy stylish area with a 'bohemian' feeling. There are a lot of shops, bars and restaurants around, including pharmacies and banks. This is an extremely safe and highly desired tourist area. Please note that the immediate surroundings of the building are very calm, quiet and safe.
This is a new edifice with all the amenities and a distinctive design feeling. The apartment is 130 square meters (1,415 sq ft) on the 12 floor with great panoramic views that goes from the bridge of the Americas to the Metropolitan park. There are 1 master bedroom with its own complete bathroom, 1 bedroom with a Queen size bed, and 1 bedroom with two single beds, another complete bathroom, a stainless steel appliances kitchen, a large living room with a dining area (in which fit easily the extra inflatable Queen size mattress), and a terrace with open views. There is a great common area with a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a gym room. The apartment is fully furnished in a pleasant modern style. It is ready to go.
I live in Bocas del Toro, when I come to Panama City, I like to stay in a contemporary ambiance in the heart of the city.

This is the best location in the City. Via Argentina has been a central neighborhood for many years. There are very famous restaurants and bars very close by. Any Commodity one could want during their stay is within walking distant. Also, when I stay in the city, every time I am coming home, I particularly appreciate that the immediate surrounding of the building is very calm, quiet and safe. The modern and design feeling of the building Mont Royale combines with the best European contemporary furnishing found in this +1,400 sq ft apartment provides to the dwellers a stylish contemporary city living opportunity at an unbeatable price.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Mont Royale. The owner was very helpful as well as the agent in Panama who assissted us throughout the stay. The location is ideal and you are able to find taxis only a few minutes walk away from the apartment. Despite there being 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children), we still found the apartment very spacious. The communal pool is kept clean and accessible, a great way to relax or spend time with family. Overall, this apartment was the best choice I made after viewing many listings. Would most certainly reccomend this to anyone with family or if you just need some quiet space!
easy to find building (next to Colegio de La Salle across from Terranova), it was like a friend had lent me his functioning apartment. air conditioning in every room but i barely used it as there was a nice breeze that blows through the place. good wi-fi connection, tv, washer/dryer, towels, dishes, silverware...everything you would need to cook all your meals, but you won't as the location is close to so many great restaurants and other nightlife. contact person Lorena was very professional and always accessible by phone/text. 24 hour security, parking space (i didn't use it but had all the keys for it), nice pool area (jacuzzi not working during my stay). best of all was the large balcony area where i spent many sunsets with a cold beer and a song in my heart. will return for my next stay!
Great location and safe, easy to get/walk to taxi and resturants as advertised. But bare walls and floor add to substantial traffic noise from highway. Walls could use a coat of paint. Not enough towels and linens and those found were minimal quality. Local calls are free but not to any cell number. Pool, access and utilities were all good. No trouble with water.
Mt. Royale condo is a newer, lovely building within walking distance of shopping and many nice restaurants in El Cangrejo. The apartment was as advertised. Our contact person was most helpful lining up transportation and interpreting. We were so excited to see someone holding up a sign with our name when we arrived late by plane. She also assisted us with transportation and language when my husband lost his billfold. The apartment is clean and is as appears in the ad, but could use some decorating touches. A nice apartment in a safe area.
Our 2 week stay 1/4 -1/18/2011. Upon arrival we were left at the building entrance with 1 key and no detailed instructions. Arriving at the 12th floor apt. we discovered "no water"! This condition continued for the next 10 days! Two couples for 10 days with no water! Our "local contact" was of little help. Other shortcomings: 3rd bath was unusable & in poor condition, light bulbs were out in other 2 baths, living room lamp/shade broken, master bath sink stopper broken, hot water heater inoperable (I replaced battery), hot tub in common pool area empty and unusable, kitchen utensils poor, no wall decorations at all (very plain), noise and smells from outside were considerable, view was of busy highway and industrial operations.
Requests for "discount" and adjustments went unanswered............
We just stayed at this Mont Royale apartment (July 11-18) in Cangrego and I must say that both the owner Michel and the local contact person were both extremely helpful. The apartment is spacious with great views and on a quiet street just off the main busy highway in great location. (Actually there was some noise from the highway--- but not that bothersome being on the 11th floor). The beds were very comfortable, kitchen very functional, and the place was clean. The description and pictures are very true to the apartment-- the views are amazing! I would say that it is great price for a great place. In addition, the doormen were very nice and helpful.
